Yes they did. But they played some pretty good teams down there. They will definitely hold their own vs Ireton and SJC.

PVI will play hard but doesn't have the horses this year.

Prediction: Potomac beats them today by 10 or more

Potomac looked very good against BI on Tuesday.

Between SR, Visi, Potomac, and SS/SA, all four teams are better than BI, PVI, and SJC this spring.

We will find out soon if GC is in a league of their own in the DMV this Spring.

This is a good analysis. Top 4 in ISL are all quite strong this year. Big question for the pecking order of DC area girls lax is where GC slots in--still on top, or somewhere else in that top 5.

1. GC (wins another but albeit with a much weaker team and in a much weaker conference this year. We will see how much weaker in their non-conference schedule).

2. Ireton - (A little more experienced than the two below)

3. PVI (Coach will get the most out of his girls and they will definitely play hard)

4. SJC (Not very good but better than the rest of a very weak conference).

Thanks for posting. This is probably the right pre-season ranking. No brainer to have GC at #1 again, and makes sense to give the nod to BI for the #2 slot based on their experienced senior and junior commits. Would not etch it all in stone yet, because we have no real comparative results to review other than Potomac beating SJC, BI, and soon to be PVI, soundly. Plus, all three teams are at very different points in their development cycle. WCAC season could be interesting and I could see some mixed results when 2-4 play each other.

PVI has a very young roster this year and the frosh class isnt particular strong.

Prediction.....GC will lose to an ISL team this year.

Which one? SR or SSSAS?

it has already been said that they don't play SR this year...

They'll figure out a way to beat them!

Potomac won by 9 or so.

Three 8-10 goal wins. Pretty impressive run through the 2-3-4 level of the WCAC.

ISL big 3 dads telling themselves that it's just because the WCAC is weak, and Potomac is never going to win the league. Getting nervous.
