And will throwing the book at these poor girls in any way help the victim or his family? |
They had a weapon. A man died. A hardworking father and grandfather who recently immigrated here. Do you not care? For those reading this post who DO care, there's a go fund me for him to help pay for his unexpected funeral. |
"POOR girls?!" Are you effing kidding me? |
What is your suggestion? Let them go free? |
I'd be willing to contribute to that cause. That will help the family and do some actual good. Punishing these girls won't. |
Not immediately. They should serve some period of time in a confined setting, partly for punishment but more importantly for intensive counseling, education, and other efforts to try to give them a fighting chance to salvage something of their lives. |

Here is the gofundme for the man that was senselessly murdered by the two awful girls.

And you realize that since they are being charged as juveniles you have pretty much described the max they can get? |
Not sure what you mean by throwing the book at them? I'm not advocating that they die. I do think incarceration, counseling, continuation of schooling while incarcerated, and opportunities for required service to people in need. |
? In no way am I blaming the victim. My point was that there are plenty of 13 and 15 yr olds who do this kind of thing. Reading comprehension important. |
there are plenty of 13 year olds who use tasers to carjack people in broad daylight??? what??? |
just donated. As an immigrant, I really feel for that family. My parents also worked menial jobs, and they barely speak any English. |
There are plenty of 13 yr olds who carjack in broad daylight, yes. Did you even bother reading the articles I posted. Those were just samplings. I grew up in a tough area with real gang bangers. They start them young. |
Thank you! |
Sadly it is too late for this family. But it is not too late for the next. It's pretty rare that someone who is so damaged mentally at this point will turn their life around. The reason you read stories about it? Because it's so rare it becomes a story.... |
