California has refineries for oil and would just get it from somewhere else, but more likely would just ramp up solar, wind, hydro and where safe given earthquakes, nuclear. On its own, California would strike deals with Europe and China and continue to be the economic engine that it is. Why would you assert that other countries wouldn't do business with California if it were an independent country? They would be a more reliable trading partner than Trump's US currently is. |
First of all, this isn't a "dem" idea...the idea of splitting up the country has been the southern dream for more than a century and it has been fomented by Russia for decades. Second, some states would fare better than others. A block of CA/OR/WA would control the west coast, have port access and economic opportunities as the 3rd largest economic country in the world. I am not sure how well the former confederacy would do. Other than the Mississippi corridor, there isn't a lot there to spur jobs and growth. |
Since California is 250 Billion in the red and only keeps the music going by accounting trickery like raiding public pension funds, how long before that sweet spigot of welfare gets turned off?
You live is a dream world. |
Then you have nothing to worry about! Go back to hunting down immigrants and watch Fox News. |
Lmao. You need materials for all of that, dumbass. How do you build solar, wind, hydro without metal, solar panels (most of which are imported from China), copper, cement, nuclear materials. Absolutely de-lu-lu dum dum. Once again, how would California strike deals with the EU or China? They would have no currency. They would be cut off from international banking and the US dollar. Even if California wanted to pay with its own, brand new currency, how would it do it given that it would be immediately blocked from the international banking system? And how would California even be able to import all of the materials, energy, and medicines needed to survive? The federal govt would block their airspace with the USAF, it would block trucking into the state to the east with the US Army, and it would blockade the entire western coastline with the full might of the US Navy. You and the rest of the Dems clearly haven't thought it through. |
Lmao..sure, you'd control the west coast with what navy, Air Force and army? California has zero destroyers, aircraft carriers, and AC gunships. As if they could take them over and run it themselves. Lolol. De lu lu clown. |
OMG. The US is trillions in debt, which is owned by foreign countries. And Trump's BBB increased the debt by even more. LOL |
Guess you missed the whole bitcoin thing? Most likely they would just join with Canada. California has its own banks and would be fine either way. California is a rich state. Money finds away. |
Oh so TX wanting to secede is also de lu lu? CA has naval ports. They can build their own navy, which would actual spur a lot of growth. |
Guess you missed the part where Bitcoin can crash over night and it requires tons of electricity. How would CA connect to the Internet if it were cutoff from national infrastructure? Launch it's own satellites? Lmao. And that assumes they solve the electricity problem.....because we all know they have done a great job with their electric infrastructure over the last 30 years. Lmao. They would be blocked immediately from being able to obtain infrastructure components. |
Hey moron. You tested this under Alejandro Mayorkas in federal court and told Texas they could not defend their own borders. So don't plea for the exact opposite now. Sick of your shit. |
Sure, California can build its own navy. Lmao. With what steel, copper, and materials to make missiles? Once again, how would the import any of it after being blocked by land, sea, and air and have no currency to trade with? That's assuming Europe or China would even be willing to play ball, because trade with a rogue state would instantly be perceived as an act of war against the US. You CA clowns are so de lu lu. Being cutoff from medicines alone that need to be shipped from abroad would make the entire state collapse in 2 weeks. |
Exactly this. Individuals and companies owe the tax to the Federal Government. The State currently owes and pays nothing to the Feds. A way to keep more overall tax dollars in Ca, would be for Ca to raise their state taxes, and then hope for unlimited SALT, so individuals would get a Federal deduction for the extra state taxes. Maybe push the State income tax to a flat 20%. That would fund high speed rail and reparations. |
lol why would republicans fight to keep California? Besides California contributes the most personal to the US military. It’s just not California leaving. If California leaves no blue state would want to remain. But let’s talk about your scenario. How is the US Pacific fleet supplied? Where does all logistics move through? Might want to look in to that before attacking California. Remember China will be watching. |
Attacking California? Corerction: You mean attacking the leftist DNC and their operators in California. |
