Maybe Dawson?

No way! It says Beidleman sent employee 5 flirtatious texts from 2020-2022 that she did not object to at the time.

Did I miss that in the report???!! Page #????? Thank you!

Wasn't one of his accusers texting him nude photos?

Yes, but the other 30-some victims were not. Moreover, the fact that he engaged in a sexual relationship with an employee is a problem in and of itself. Finally, in 2024, we believe that women have the right to end a relationship without being publicly humiliated, harassed, and effectively demoted. No means no, even if someone said yes earlier. Please catch up.

This is a crock of bull. There aren’t 30 some victims. I find people whine and complain about managers/bosses they don’t like all the time. That’s why he lasted as long as he did because some teachers are just plain disgruntled. No one publicly humiliated, harassed nor demoted the social studies teacher. She was bold and adult enough to send nude pics to her boss when he should have fired her for that yet instead she set him up and now decides to sue him because she is thousands of dollars in debt. I hope mcps puts policies in place to hold subordinates accountable for sexual harassment and indecent actions upon their bosses. These aren’t children. This is the workplace where EVERYONE KNOWS BETTER!

Going to bat for Jb is a bold move. I think most agree that he and mcps didn’t handle this properly. Especially considering the findings of the OIG report (different that the one linked in this thread). It’s determined that mcps was notified at least twice prior to promoting him, how to prevent this type of situation. There are going to be multiple ppl suing mcps as a result of their willful negligence. I doubt if Jb has much worth suing for based on public records. But the taxpayers will be footing the bill for mcps’ negligence. Sounds like McKnight and her band of former middle school principals acted very unprofessionally.

NP. Maybe that WAS JB. It's an anonymous board ... Who else would defend that crap, especially after the meticulous WaPo reporting?

+1 nothing else to do in Mexico

Mexico?

Sorry, it’s actually the top of page 25 that mentions the flirtatious texts employee 25 sent employee 5 from 2020-2022 that she didn’t object to. That section begins on page 24. Section iii “employee 5 expressed specific concerns to employee 21 about the risk of promoting 25. Howeve, 21 still supported the promotion”

They kept the entire situation away from her as another way to hide what they were doing

But she (if a female, I honestly don't know the name) knows the requirements. Any sexual harassment claim in ed has to go through the title 9 office. According to the OIG report the title 9 coordinator passed sexual harassment claims (as a matter of mcps policy) to the Compliance and Investigations office. According to federal regulations, title 9 coordinator is supposed to be a part of all investigations (not just the complaints) related to sexual harassment. There is just so much wasted money.

Greg Edmundson is the Title IX coordinator.

I had read there were around 30 anonymous complaints but for all I know it's the same person complaining 30 times.

Because these are anonymous hard to say if they're even credible. The only named source that I know of was the teacher who was sexting him nude pics.

Greg Edmundson is the Title IX coordinator.

This is my question: how could Greg Edmunson be completely out of the loop on all of this? Both operationally and administratively (record keeping)? Are we missing something here? This is where the BOE really falls down - they know about Title IX. Why isn't Title IX compliance in the BOE inquiry to the superintendent?

How is the federal government OK with this utter lack of compliance with Title IX?

The prolific “I had read…” poster is definitely personally involved but starts their posts this way to try to discredit victims. Gross.

And the prolific poster just repeats the same lame talking points…not very clever.

It's so upsetting to know their salaries as a school based employee. These are the folks that come to our schools and do walk throughs. Then, they go to their office, and don't do their jobs.
