Yes those criminals would never have a gun illegally if they were banned. 🙄

It's not D vs R issue. As others have pointed out, MC's been always a blue county. What changed, however, is that county policies used to represent "center-left" common sense policies. Not it's completely off the chart far left. Yes, we are f'ed.

Thank you Takoma Park.

Agreed. I came here about 15 years ago and watched the county steadily get worse. Especially the middle class areas of the county. The wealthier areas like Potomac and Bethesda seem to do better. But the middle class neighborhoods have been overrun with slum landlords and the school system is definitely seeing the ill effects of being a sanctuary county.

Those areas are protected by invisible walls - power, money, influence, and connections. Those folks will never let low SES folks to invade their area.

It's no different in any Central and South American country, except the wealthy areas also have physical walls beside the economic ones. There are no middle class areas really, at least the way we think of them.

Fairfax County going same way. Of note:

“In November 2021, July 2022, November 2022, and February 2023, ICE agents asked Fairfax County for custody of Rodriguez. Each time, their requests were ignored. ICE agents have again requested custody of Rodriguez in the kidnapping case.”

The moco crime data actually breaks out very detailed info on crimes—including the use of ghost guns.

Gun crimes happen in the bluest communities with the strictest gun laws…because…it’s easy to cross jurisdictions.

You’d rather he be deported and free instead of charged and jailed?

Crime everywhere is up due to a pandemic and corporations doubling their profits while cutting wages.

I agree we need more corporate oversight to stops the insane carpet bagging going on.

Who are the carpetbaggers in this scenario?

We moved to PG, ironically. Cashed out of our MoCo house, bought a nicer home w/out a mortgage, send our kiddos to private schools. PG doesn't have that weird woke political stuff either.
