I am so tired of her duplicitous, contradictory statements and actions, her refusal to do her job, and what I consider to be her progressive stance. I know for a fact that I am not alone in OpenFCPS - there are many more like me. Sure there are Republicans too - that does not surprise nor deter me. Its actually a good thing.

If you think it’s a good thing that you’re teamed up with people who want private-school vouchers for their kids and nada for yours, your judgment is highly suspect.

The OpenFCPS folks may include some people who'd try to gut public education under any circumstances, but far more who either speak favorably about things like vouchers to try and nudge FCPS to return to the basics or never bring them up at all because they are invested entirely in the public school system.

Yeah that’s why they’re pushing a PraegerU “patriot pod” lol.

Most supporting the recall petitions would have no idea what you’re referring to here. They only know their School Board members ignore them but listen carefully to everything folks like Kimberly Adams say.

Tholen & Cohen are the two who take the least number of signatures of the SB members at all.
Omeish is the least of the at-large and the recall effort kept getting people outside of Springfield and Dranesville asking to sign something.

While motivations for actually signing vary, the petitions themselves are about not reopening school in a timely, evidence based fashion.

So you don't have a principled reason for going after these two other than their the easiest ones? Well, that's smart. Not sure I want to buy into someone's ideas that are rooted in such simple thinking.

What "evidence" are you referring to, btw?? Let me guess, some cherry-picked facts that confirm your own biases? But, regardless, lucky for you, schools will be OPEN 5 days/week. So you get what you want but are just being pissy and throwing a tantrum about what you didn't get in the past?

Why are you lurking in a FB group that clearly doesn’t interest you and then coming on here to complain anonymously about it? BTW that post has barely any likes and no comments. Don’t assume everyone who is OpenFCPS agrees with each other on everything.

Except that is not what you these members did. It’s just the lies the right wing machine was selling and you bought.

My my, so defensive! It’s almost as if you’re afraid people might see through your ruse and realize what you REALLY stand for.

You're not too persuasive. There are few better ways to alienate people than to tell them they are unwitting dupes. In general, the people involved with OpenFCPS are among the better informed parents in the county. But good luck leveraging your strategy as the recall petitions move forward and the 2023 elections approach.

Yes, I stand for fully opening schools, and replacing most of the inept SB members. As is the stated mission of the group … this isn’t some big conspiracy.

Watch it Friend - dont bully me. I stated my opinion - just because you dont agree with it doesnt mean it is suspect. Just because you think you are right, doesnt mean that Im wrong. I welcome your opinion; you can keep your judgement to yourself. At least Im trying to find middle ground with Republicans. Doesnt mean we agree on everything, but there is common ground - which is where we are waiting for people such as yourself. Come on and try it - we would welcome you, but not your rhetoric.

NP here. Say it louder for the people in the back. I have come very, very close to unfollowing OpenFCPS several times, but stay only because MY mission is 5 days of in-person schooling. A lot of the posts on there these days make me want to vomit, but I’m not a regular poster so chiming in now seems odd. I’ll give a like here or there, but with so many in your face posts it is almost unreadable.

You can practically smell the desperation coming through the PP's post.

Well, schools are already confirmed to be open and you’ve aligned yourself with people who think PraegerU is a viable alternative to FCPS, so…yeah.
