I'll be suprised in Monuments 14U is better than the Black Ops...apparently ML is still looking for players aggressively.Thye've offered some weaker players that did not make Black Ops.
13U Black Ops has the VLC/Dulles South contingent leading the charge. Poles are weak but dads are vocal and will get that defense shored up soon. Both Black Ops teams are still recruiting kids from all the involved clubs A teams to try to bolster rosters. I think all these team will have 1-2 more kids by end of month in DE. |
Awesome news. Thanks for the update. |
WSYL rosters were submitted over a week ago and not subject to change with all the document verification required for each player. So no, no more players on either ML Monuments or Black Ops. The teams are set. |
| When will the teams likely open up to the grade-based players who didn't meet the WSL age requirements? After WSL? |
|
With respect to Monument, the teams were created purely for World Series and nothing else. On balance they are weaker than MadLax was hoping, so they will disband and get back to the normal MadLax structure as soon as possible. The over-age players will return to the 2026 Capital team, and the 2027's will go back to 2027 Capital, and those teams will carry on as usual.
Black Ops is different because it is a combination of three programs. There was talk of keeping Black Ops together longer term, but it will be difficult to do that without hurting the feeder teams. The more realistic outcome is that the best Black Ops players will migrate to one of the three programs. |
Both NL and DCE clubs are both better than the current Black Ops team. The only kids that would benefit from leaving their current team would be the VLC kids. I doubt VLC would want to give up those kids considering they’re the best they caleb had to offer. |
*Club* |
| Yeah I would be surprised if they do a black Ops thing next year. For 27, NL is so much stronger than BLC or VLC it wouldn’t make any sense to combine. Same thing will be true of 28 in two years. I think this will be a one year experiment. It only really made sense in the context of 2026 where none of the clubs had a top team. For 27 and 28, NL is among the best teams in the country without any combination. |
| You forgot about the birthday rule. |
| If they are smart, NextLevel and MadLax will combine their age-eligible players for their 2027 and 2028 classes. Whatever the owners may think of each other, the boys and the parents would get along fine. |
| NL will never do it. ML back stabbed them 3 years ago. |
"but dads are vocal and will get that defense shored up soon." You thirsty. Damn. |
what happened three yrs ago? need the details on this, sounds juicy. |
| Whatever happened three years ago, the programs do not really need to coordinate. Monuments could hold open tryouts like they did this year, and the boys and families on the MadLax teams could encourage NextLevel players to come. Many of them know each other and are friends. I bet that the top NexLevel players would prefer that to teaming up with VLC and BLC. |
