If the 13U BO team had a little stronger defense they could have been 3-0 today. They are 1 or 2 players away from being legit.

13u lost to the best 2026 team in the country by 3. I would say that is pretty good defense. Held all three opponents to 6 goals or less.

No clue what they are talking about. Typical I should guess but maybe one third of the goals were dodges and the rest were off fairly standard NL / DCE plays. Black Ops is for real, and won't be an easy out for anyone that much was made very clear this weekend.

Ball movement was weak but it's a hogpog of players, can't be more at this time

Depends on the age group. My understanding is that 13U is more likely to sway towards Black Ops. At 14U, ML has the bulk of its 2025 team so will be a much stronger contender.

It all comes down to who plays who in the qualifier, and I'm sure that the match ups are not drawn at random. Whoever does the seedings and brackets has the power to decide whether Black Ops or Monuments goes to the world series. My prediction is that Cabell will get to that person and play the game more effectively than Black Ops, but we shall see.

Does everyone care this much about Black Ops? My goodness. It's one tournament for 7th and 8th graders. Have a great Hoco with your club team; then go have a great summer tourney season. It's amazing that this thread keeps going all over a single tourney that everyone forgets about by the Fall.
