Just an observation--the doctor appears to be Christian as he is of Assyrian-Armenian heritage. I don't know about the Momenis--there could have been a religion angle here if he was an Iranian Christian married to a Muslim woman.

I think the "story" sold to Bob and Witness 1 by rhw sibs does not fit with the facts. It was an attempt to elicit a reaction from Bob.

Brother was so worried about inappropriate behavior, meanwhile he had "supervised" her dates for years of her married life. Nonsense. But, they thought Bob might bite and be her rescuer.

So could see thing with doc was an arrangement, they all knew what she did, Otherwise doubt she would bring "dates" to her marital home. Maybe there were cameras, who knows? The doctor was not acting too upset with her or her brother in court.

+1. The surgeon has a legit academic and professional background. That HauteLiving piece was puff, but few marketing pieces spend so much copy on the wife. He really does worship her.; you can see it from the look in his eyes in the posed photos.

He was clearly mortified to be in court. She maybe lied, broke down in tears begging him to come with her, and he agreed. Probably grabbed his hand at the last minute.

Im guessing his family warned him not to marry into this garbage family.

Does the defense attorney's "not a crime" comment suggest a rape/protecting the sister defense?

Rape shield laws exclude evidence about a rape victim's sexual history with other men. This is a murder case, but a decent defense attorney could get any evidence of encounters with other men excluded to protect her privacy.

I think they were going more for the honor killing idea given what the "story was" that was directed at Bob and overheard by Witness 1. Although as many have pointed out it is usually the woman killed. The Facetime vid lays out the defense strategy, I think.
