It is actually quite sad, IMO. I think it is horribly sad that he felt the need to make up a crime to vilify millions of people. And, presumably to get attention. He must be terribly insecure and terribly unhappy.

And, thousands of celebrities and politicians expressed their outrage. Do you think they will be issuing apologies?

DP. I don’t think OP is suggesting that he should be charged because he has something wrong with him. He should be charged because it’s against the law to report that a crime occurred when it did not. There are many reasons filing a false report is a crime.
