Jussie Smollett attacked

I think now would be the time to wait for the whole story. I think the past couple weeks have taught us this.

Something about these replies are rubbing me the wrong way. It's as if people are insinuating that Jussie did something to deserve this. Like this is somehow his fault.

Jussie was taken to Northwestern Memorial where he was treated. He was discharged later Tuesday morning.

ThatGrapeJuice.Net first posted this letter which was sent to Fox Studios in Chicago with cut out letters spelling, "You will die black f**." Our sources say the letter was sent 8 days ago.

Poor guy.fortunately a Subway restaurant should have security cameras either inside or out, so it should be easy to identify the guys.

I don’t know what a lot of these replies are even implying. Like let’s “wait for the whole story”.
What do they think the “whole story” could possibly reveal?
That he is at fault or they’re spinning a conspiracy theory?

Attacked by masked men who know who the victim is, and who happen to be carrying rope for a noose and a bottle of bleach- at 2 am, shortly after the victim stepped off a plane? Around the same time that the victim has received cartoonish hate mail?

I’m just trying to understand your line of thinking. Are you saying that Someone knew he was going to be in Chicago and followed him with the intention of hurting him?

The Chicago Police Department said 36-year-old Empire star Jussie Smollett told authorities he was assaulted early Tuesday morning by two suspects who yelled out “racial and homophobic slurs” before the attack. Smollett told police that the suspects hit him in the face around 2 a.m. and “poured an unknown chemical substance” on him, according to the statement. “At some point during the incident, one of the offenders wrapped a rope around the victim’s neck,” the police statement says. “The offenders fled the scene.” Smollett took himself to Northwestern Hospital and is in “good condition,” authorities said. Police say they are investigating the “possible racially-charged assault and battery” as a possible hate crime. Smollett has yet to comment on the alleged attack.

A Chicago Police spokesperson told The Daily Beast that the attackers’ genders are unknown, and that their faces and hands had been covered. TMZ reported that the attackers shouted “This is MAGA country,” but police told the Beast, “There is no report of that being said.”

What is anyone doing outside at 2:00 AM in Chicago right now? The have -60 degree wind chill.

So few, if any, people would have been outside at that time. I am sure it will be easy to find out what happened and who might have been involved from security cameras in the area.

Drug deal gone bad? Or prostitution gone bad? Stalkers? It is so dang cold right now in Chicago. Too copd to be outside at 2:00 without a purpose.
