Yes after Harvard college and Harvard school of Ed affirmative action scholarships you can go on to build more AA programs so more AA candidates can go get more AA candidates and so on.

1) The expense of a small % of majority kids. It's a small price to pay. Those kids will be fine.

2) Provide some data that the small % of kids who aren't getting in are the poor white Billys. That is a purely a fabrication of demographics. It could just as easily be middle-class kids - actually even more probable given the applicant pool for college.

3) PP is being called a racist because she's not worried about other kids (athletes, legacies, other URMs) taking spots in college. ONLY black kids.

4) We are all still experiencing the nasty side effects of slavery and systematic racism (that exists TODAY). Why do you think they'd just magically go away quickly? Why are you denying that they exist?

I accept that my kids will have a tougher time getting into top 10 schools because many of those schools are pushing hard for diversity (both racial and economic). My kids won’t have the same experience as me but they will be fine. A top 10 school will do more for others than them.

We are affluent parents with impressive academic and professional credentials. We sought out diverse public schools for our kids. And we are ok if our kids don’t go to top 10 schools like we did because those schools are now pushing for diversity. Our kids will be fine.

What measurable impact does AA have? Positive and negative so we know the full picture.

Life is not fair. You forget that AA helps women more than black people. Women are the main beneficiaries. Are we willing to take that away as well? Remember, women are also catching hell in corporate america. Without AA, they would not be there.

Yea, my uncle bought into diversity. He changed his mind when her daughter, my cousin, got pregnant at 16 and dropped out of high school. My cousin divorced from her first husband, two kids in tow, and is now married again with a stable and happy life.

What? It's progressives who think native-born black Americans are unable to compete or otherwise be held to the same standards as everyone else.

On average, URMs have fewer opportunities and resources to prepare for college, etc. They also face additional hurdles from systematic racism.

The GOP is anti-black and is actively looking for ways to hurt minorities. AA, housing policies, etc.

I could see if black students were passing their boards or the bar, but they are, which means that once they get in, they have the intelligence to compete.

I don't think the OP was talking about sex, but race. Last time I checked, being female is not a race. Also, women outnumber men in college education attainment. Shouldn't affirmative action be favoring men in order to atone for this discrimination by colleges/universities against men?
