| Option 3 - Key to Tuckahoe. |
Tuckahoe is Metro accessible and has great bus service on Lee Highway. But in the last round APS said no option schools in the corners of the county...has that changed? |
Don't poke the Tuckahoe bear. The guy who lives right by Tuckahoe will go head to head with McKrazy. |
Maybe Joker and Riddler also will make guest appearances on this episode. |
Vaporware, you gotta love it |
+1. When someone releases the analysis, then it’s worth discussing. Until then, it’s just not. |
| I thought Tuckahoe couldn’t fit ATS. Would they shrink it? No K the first year? |
Definitely would need to shrink. And MCK and Reed boundaries would travel eastward like a plague b/c so many seats. |
ATS couldn’t fit in the physical building, but it could if they maxed out the trailer capacity. |
McKinley is already farther away for many in southwest arlington in particular. Tuckahoe would make ATS even less accessible. |
+1. Between that and the capacity issue, I fail to see why ATS to a Tuckahoe is better for the APS system as a whole than ATS to McKinley. |
| And it still comes down to the close proximity of McK and Reed and Ashlawn make it really hard to draw a reasonable boundary for all there to be neighborhood schools. If McK wanted to stay put they needed to fight the charge to make Reed a neighborhood school. But that wasn't happening because a good chunk of McK is in Westover and they wanted a neighborhood school there. |
| Just catching up on this and I don’t follow. Don’t the McKinley moms realize that Ashlawn isn’t going to actually add a net of 200 seats? They are moving hundreds from the Ballston area out of Ashlawn. What am I missing? |
Nothing, she’s just too dumb to understand basic analysis. |
Can we sell tickets as a fundraiser? |
