| I keep landing on 12/2 meeting. Does someone have the link? |
|
As a former McKinley parent, I’m embarrassed. Most of the parents I know there are pretty chill. Clearly not all.
|
| Most of McK wants to go to Reed. Some parents are crazy. I need the link!!! |
| Have the McKinley Dads survived? Poor guys. |
There was at least one screaming at the meeting. Lol. |
| Fellow McK parent here wondering who was freaking out....I've avoided the PTA meetings because we aren't opposed to the plan. I'm tired of the overcrowding. I do wish I knew which other parents were unhinged. |
What do you have against Col Heights? DO YOU KNOW WGERE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD IS???? You do realize the county is constantly shiting on us? Probably better for you that we have no voice. |
It wouldn’t surprise me if they yanked it. Lisa Stengel appeared to be on the verge of tears and cut the Q & A short. I honestly thought someone might call in security. It was a mess. |
Security did show up. |
They should have called in security. The screamers were abusive and out of control. Anyone get the nutjob parents on camera? |
I would have felt threatened if I were one of the staff members. |
| If the majority of McKinley families support the proposals and are ok with the move, then you need to come out and quiet those nasty McKinley moms. I understand being passionate, but they were out of control tonight. |
|
60 percent of the kids will lead mediocre upper-middle class lives like mom and dad: average 1.7 kids and 1.44 marriages, make decent money in some boring job. 15 percent will be burnouts who either end up in jail or flirt with the prospect. 25 percent will be extraordinary. Some will make millions or billions, others will make little but produce great social change or art.
Very little of this depends on whether the kids went to McKinley or Reed or Ashlawn. This is what APS should say at the meetings. |
Many have tried. Out of control doesn’t begin to describe the behavior even towards other McK parents. |
McK Moms....this is a new low. I thought South Fairlington and Douglas Park were bad...but come-on McK, Ashlawn isn't that bad. |
