Jussie Smollett attacked

So Jussie was willing to blame two extras with whom he was "friendly?" They need to kick Smollett off and write the two brothers into the show as regular characters.

Sometimes it's best to leave things alone . . . especially when people can't hear the truth. Instead of commenting on the case, I was given an analysis of Liam Neeson's comment. I fail to see the connection. One lies; the other one is too brutally honest.

Maybe I do need smarter friends.

well, well, well

I guess we can agree that Smollett is a liar.

We can also agree that Smollett was willing to incriminate two innocent men who were extras on the set.

We can AGREE that Smollett tried his best (although very unsuccessfully) to blame this "attack" on a non-minority, which in this case, based on his wording, was anyone other than a Muslim, Mexican or black:
"It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim, or a Mexican, or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me much more. A lot more. And that says a lot about the place that we are in our country right now."

So, while we don't agree on this, I will CONTINUE to question things that seem a little "off." I don't care what color a person's skin, what his/her beliefs are, or what his/her sexuality is. I will question a situation if it contains too many gaps.

This whole thing is more than a "little" off.

When are they going to arrest this race-baiting idiot. I’d have a bit of respect for him if this hoax wasn’t so cartoonishly transparent......he’s obviously a moron.

Did you actually watch the interview to get the context of the quote? It’s not saying the assailants were white but that HAD HE BEEN ABLE TO IDENTIFY THEM and say they were minorities, there wouldn’t have been doubt. But because he couldn’t describe them people don’t believe him.

At no time did he blame them. The police found them through their own investigation.

It is because it is completely unlikely that there are a couple of white Trump supporters walking around Chicago at any time of day or night proclaiming the city MAGA property.

That claim is what raised all the skeptic flags.

This thread is crazy, people are just saying anything. At no time did Jussie blame these two people.

DP. Yes he did. He said on GMA that the two people captured on camera were his assailants.

Yes:

“Prior to the police identifying and interviewing the two persons of interest, Smollett said he believes the two men in the photo released by police in the days after the attack are the perpetrators.

"I don't have any doubt in my mind that that's them," Smollett said. "Never did."”

Just out of curiosity, are you generally this wrong about stuff? Like do you go around being wrong constantly while all the while thinking “no, I’m not wrong; it’s everyone else who is crazy”?

According to some of the media, they found these two guys through his phone records.

After interrogating and releasing two men seen in surveillance video near the scene of the alleged attack on “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett, Chicago police are saying that the new information they have “could change the story entirely.”

While police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said on Saturday that he could not speak on what the new information was, he said that the break from detectives has “shifted the trajectory” of the investigation.

When they reported about arresting the Nigerian guys, my first thought was that accent would likely have been noticeable--not per se Nigerian. I realize that information is often withheld from police but in this case when they were searching for suspects based on limited description that would have been in. OTOH it's a crazy thing for someone in his position to do.
