Fms is getting a principal intern for next year, who will be there along with Mrs. Councilman. The other AP went on leave months ago (maybe December?), parents were never told. She did not return to fms. There was a principal from another school supporting in the spring, but parents weren’t told of that either.

Bilock is terrific. I’m shocked he doesn’t have a more permanent principal role. He stepped in as acting at Sligo prior to doing the principal intern role and Sligo parents were really upset that MCPS moved him. He is communicative and really really great with the kids. SSIMS is lucky to have him.

Thank god - SSIMS desperately needs someone who can get the school under control.

Bill Currence just got acting at Rosa Parks MS. He'd been acting at Hallie Wells MS but didn't get it permanently.

The staff directory says Putman is now an AP at Forest Oak MS.

I would not view this as a negative, that he did not get the permanent position and therefore will be less-than-good in another acting role. Being a good principal is HARD, and those with potential can be honest with themselves that they need another year with added support before they're ready to be fully in charge. I can respect that.
