What’s a donor daughter? |
Have you had past mental illness, such as anorexia, anxiety, depression? if so, events may be exacerbating your fragility. Perhaps talk to your therapist more or check in with your psychiatrist to increase your dosages. This is not a time to ignore your conditions. |
OP, how will you be voting in the upcoming election? That will tell me all I need to know about your empathy for your fellow humans. |
Yes, I realize that. Thank God for all the cell phones everywhere now. OP is asking if she's the only one not deeply affected by current events. I have been DEEPLY affected by the cell phone videos of people being murdered by the police. I realize it has always happened and I'm grateful we all can see it now -- but it's vastly different to know it and to see it for yourself. That's why people are flooding the streets to protest. We can see it for ourselves. And it's sickening. |
Gross. |
What's really petty and stupid is focusing on one ridiculous comment rather than the bigger picture. |
Why in the world would anyone "detest" Joe Biden? Did you roll this post out from 2016 and dust it off to use now? |
Jeez, what a nasty post. |
We’re all becoming immune to tragedy, it’s an everyday thing now. .. just great that it’s away from me and my family... for now... |
I think some people are temperamentally just more easily able to compartmentalize. It doesn't mean they're part of the 4% of the population who is actually sociopathic. I'm way opposite in that every instance is like a drop that fills my bucket, and my bucket has just been overflowing lately. We need people like OP, though, because they can stay energized to fight the good fight, which is sounds like she is doing. |
Nope. Been through plenty of ups and downs with my integrity and my emotions intact. Thanks for asking. BTW your response is lame. Not funny or clever. |
I am so like you, OP. I'm curious; how did you feel about 9-11? I am with you in not carrying stuff around with me, and I knew when it happened that it didn't/wouldn't personally affect me in the way it affected other people. Even at the time, people (who didn't lose anyone they knew) were saying nothing would ever be the same for them. The closest I personally was to it was an acquaintance's dad died, which is very sad, but I felt the same level of sad for her as I would have if he had died in a car crash, etc.. I can move on easily from an acquaintance's dad dying in a car crash and 9-11 was the same for me. |
I am with you! My life does not depends on who is in power, and all these political events (and corona) do not define who I am and how happy I am. I continue to live my happy life and everyone in my family is doing great! |
How do you know from OP's post that she lacks emotions? She may be laughing and joking every single day. She may be happy, joyful, cheerful. You know, those are emotions too. |
Because as a female or as a mother this all affects you and your children greatly. If you have any daughters, moving the US to a more religious conservative society is setting women back decades .Do you not understand pay will be less, household voting, credit cards only in husbands names, should i continue? What do you think about your daughters not seen as equals to old white dudes? Climate change? Trump destroying our country. Your children deserve way better than the liars, scammers, fake church goers. Trump lies daily yet his church going followers can not remember "Thou shall not lie". How about Mr Pence, you are ok with that scammer? Clearly Indiana was getting rid of him...... |
