It's too bad that you had to see it to be impacted by it. I hope you realize that this (and worse) has been going on for decades. It's just that now everyone has a phone to record it and 100s of media outlets to show it. Black people have been complaining about police violence (and death) since...like...forever.[/quote]

Yes, I realize that. Thank God for all the cell phones everywhere now. OP is asking if she's the only one not deeply affected by current events. I have been DEEPLY affected by the cell phone videos of people being murdered by the police. I realize it has always happened and I'm grateful we all can see it now -- but it's vastly different to know it and to see it for yourself. That's why people are flooding the streets to protest. We can see it for ourselves. And it's sickening.[/quote]
