Coffee w/milk when I first get up around 6
Then I drink a smoothie on my way to work at 8:30 -- unsweetened almond milk, spoonful of almond butter, frozen blueberries and scoop of vanilla protein powder (plant based, if it matters. I'm new to the world of protein powders, so I don't know). I'm a creature of habit and will eat the same thing for months at a time, then switch to a new habit. This has been going on since January and I'm not tired of it yet. On weekends, I usually have eggs, bacon and toast. |

Strawberries Banana Toast with butter Cornflakes Bacon Sausage Coffee with cream and sugar Orange juice |
2 cups of coffee and one cup of hot water with the juice of one lemon. That's it......then I let all the caustic acids eat at my gut until lunch. It's terribly unhealthy but I'm just never that hungry in the morning. |
Protect butterfly habitat and get started in ricotta toast instead. |

Sigh. What about avocados hurts butterfly habitats? I love avocados, would be so bummed to learn I am hurting the butterfly ecosystem by eating them! |

If it was a hectic morning with the kids I get a Starbucks oatmeal when I get to work instead. |
Double shot of espresso with milk and either one slice whole wheat potato bread with sunflower seed butter or overnight oatmeal with chia seeds, milk, vanilla yogurt. |
Egg whites, salsa, small amount of reduced fat shredded cheddar. That's my easy go-to breakfast. If I'm feeling crazy, I will scramble an egg or two and eat it on a whole wheat sandwich thin with a slice of cheese. ![]() |
I've tried having breakfast salads lately -- the one I love best is spinach, lemon ricotta, almonds, farro and pomegranate seeds (hard to find in spring). If I don't do a salad, I generally do an English muffin with hummus and veggies on it, or cold oats with berries and almond milk. Sometimes if I'm really not hungry I just have a baby bell cheese and some nuts. |
