| Are you closeted? |
| Make some up. They can be anything |
"I'm angry because I don't want to call people 'they'" isn't a concern-- it's a rant. |
That’s the only reason I could see a problem here. Being outed before you are ready or feeling pressure to misgender yourself to not. Otherwise I fail to see an issue. You could get feisty and use the word “human”. |
Use symbols like Prince did. — / — / — |
Yeah, if you really want to stick to your guns that this is dumb, then make up pronouns as a way of mocking the people that this is meaningful. Of course, then you're going to have to deal with the consequences of your convictions. I know it is easier and safer to just whine on an anonymous message board. |
I don’t define pronouns for myself. People who have to ask, don’t see me. They just want to use me. |
|
The real problem is that when the enlightened higher ups require this sort of thing and force people to pretend they don’t resent it, you are incubating future trump voters and actually diluting genuine lgbt support.
The right thing is to allow and support anyone who wants to share pronouns, but not make it a power play. |
Of course. This absolutely sounds like a completely rational and serious concern over their evil plan: Step 1. Require employee to specify preferred pronouns Step 2. ??? Step 3. Profit!!!! How nefarious! |
Very well said. Yes, this. Exactly. |
So tell your employer you resent the policy and the principles and values it is based on. Why complain anonymously online? What is that going to accomplish? |
I don’t engage with the bullies. Bye. |
| The real solution is to say you prefer that people not use pronouns and use your full name all the time. |
| It simply doesn’t bother me. No big whoop. |
That appears to be what you're worried about your employer saying, and why you're just posting here. |
