Man working in daycare center

This sounds like more fake rage bait, like the woman who thinks men should be banned from Pilates 🤣

I understand the concern about statistics, but it’s pretty discriminatory. Think about if you’d have the same rule for race etc.

No race is responsible for 99% of sexual assault. It’s absurd that people think statistics have to be ignored if they reveal uncomfortable facts. It is not rational to ignore statistics.

Just wait until PP finds out there are male pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, and gynecologists.

I avoid make gynecologists, and looking at the stats on the fact that they are going the way of the dodo, so do most women.

Kids aren’t generally alone with doctors so the potential for abuse is much lower. Parents or other medical personnel are almost always present.

We have cameras in our toddler daughters daycare room. We saw a strange man in the room and he was changing her diaper. We called and the manager said that they had too many call outs and the man was her main teachers spouse.

I’ve never met this man. As far as I know he was never background checked.

Is this appropriate to you?

Personally we would NOT choose a center with a male teacher due to statistics. I know others feel differently but I do feel like we have the right to know beforehand.

A white Christian male hell no

Statistically they are the number one abusers of kids not drag queens Maga morons

OP the fact your place did this my kid would not return even for one day completely unacceptable and I would report them for an un licensed teacher in that room touching your kid

A trans woman/man is much more likely to be pedo than your straight white Christian male.

Don't be daft, they are not the same. Do you leave your little toddler girls alone with them for 40+ hours a week? Is the pediatrician helping them wipe?

I’d also be outraged. If he hasn’t been background checked, it’s ILLEGAL. Call the licensing office immediately and ask about this man.

I'm on board with male daycare staff. I work in ECE and I actually think having better gender ratios in ECE would improve the quality of care. But I'm absolutely not on board with having people providing childcare who haven't got the background check in order. That would be a big red flag to me in terms of the quality of the center in general.

Your link doesn’t back up your claim.

Is it that they had an unvetted substitute? That's real, but I also think that a male substitute operating in full view of *his own wife* is probably the least likely person to abuse your child.

Is it that he's a man in general? Well, that's on you. If you can't imagine a man in a caregiving role, and don't want men to model that for boy and girl children, then you will inherit the world you've built.

I don’t think that’s even close to true?

What is this person even talking about?

Didn’t that one lady with a home daycare murder her husband after finding out he was molesting kids there?

You do realize that most abuses in daycares happen at the hands of women, right?

Name one single female who sex abused her daycare children in the DMV area.

The male part doesn't bother me as much as an unlicensed person who likely hasn't gone through a background check etc does.

The best gyno I ever had (suffered some trauma and had to undergo surgery that required frequent check ups) was male. I went to him for years even when it was just for routine care. They always had a female nurse or MA in the room with us. I felt bad tying them up and said I was comfortable being alone, but they said it was for the doctor's protection too.

Anonymous wrote:PP that are against all men in childcare settings - is there some point which that changes for you? Once they are school age, are you still not okay with summer camp? Because there are tons of male counselors working in summer camps, especially sports based ones

Uhh yeah… when a kid can *TALK*?! When you can have logical conversations with them about good touch/bad touch, when their reasoning centers are more established? How is this a question?

Same - best gyno I had was male and Iranian. He was incredible. Performed a LEEP on me that every subsequent gyn has commented on what an incredible job he did. Totally different than a male taking care of my very young babies - who can't communicate adequately. I would never be ok with a male daycare worker.... and dont really care if that upsets some people.

i love the qualifier. What does it matter where they are? And sex abuse is just one form of abuse,
