It’s simply a peculiar thing if a man wants to be diapering or toileting young children.

So you stay at home to protect your children from your husband at all times, right? don't let him change any diapers!!!!

DP. DH changed fewer than a dozen diapers of our kid. Ever. Could not stand it. Maybe for the families who split every single household responsibility 50/50 down the middle, men are well-versed and do this a lot, but from what I've seen, they hate it and only do it b/c of their wife bugging them or they are the only parent available. You could not pay my spouse to change some other relative or strangers' kid's diapers.

So he is a pedophile because he refuses to change diapers? Or wait, you think your husband couldn't possibly be a pedophile because he refuses to pull his weight and do what a father is supposed to do. What a strange flex considering you married a deadbeat.

No. PP is saying her husband is too lazy to act on his pedophile desires. Despite her nagging him.

Her nagging him to not change diapers would make more sense.

No one wants to sacrifice their child's safety. But some don't believe that every man is a sexual predator. I just can't fathom thinking that while being married to a man or while raising a son.

Sexual predators seek out situations where they can be with children. Huge difference between someone deciding to become a father and deciding he wants to work in a daycare changing diapers all day. So likely the percentage of men in daycares who are predators is higher than the percentage of men overall.

This. Then come back here to complain that you have all the kid responsibility at home AND have to work FT. This is how women perpetuate sexism.

These are not the same.

It's exactly the same. The door of equal opportunity swings both ways. It absolutely does not mean we should forego due diligence and background checks on daycare workers.

Men caring for their own children is not the same as men choosing a profession that requires them to deal with the private areas of many children on a regular basis.

For all those on this thread denying that child sexual abuse is a male problem, here are the stats that you cannot refute.

“93.6% of child sexual abuse offenders were men.”

https://www.ussc.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/research-and-publications/quick-facts/Sexual_Abuse_FY21.pdf

Nearly all child sexual abuse is committed by men.

Again, not all men are child predators, but all child predators are men. Avoid male caregivers, avoid child sexual abuse. It really is that simple.

How do you avoid male nurses, urgent care workers, pediatricians, X-ray technicians, doctors, fire fighters, police officers, the list goes on? If no male may ever care for your child, how do you propose to move through the world if you need help in an ER, an urgent care, or from EMTs, etc.?

Nobody leaves their baby alone with an x-ray technician for 40 hours a week. Sheesh.

That's a lot of made up BS you just wrote there.

What about women who chose that profession? Are they all sexual predators too?

And I just LOVE that you think that you are such a good judge of character that the man you chose to have children with could NEVER be a predator but every other man on the planet is. GTFOH

Somebody tried to explain this upthread. Most men do NOT commit sexual assault, but most sexual assault is committed by MEN.

Daycare is an essential service to many people, like health care or garbage collection. It can't be avoided. However, some people would prefer a daycare with no males changing diapers.

Clearly. But that doesn't mean they are logical, reasonable, or educated.

I am going to lock this thread because the original poster is quite obviously a troll. I am disappointed that none of you (with one exception) figured that out.
