NOBODY said anything about wins! I think some team reps are trying to gaslight the issue of people unhappy with coaches or programs. So when they get on here asking for advice you reps scream, “idiot parents want wins!” No parents want a new team that fits their kids better. Stop belittling parents that are unhappy with bad coaching. |
Be honest with yourself. For you, bad coaching equates to “Coach has favorites and for some crazy reason, my kid is not one of them! He’s a bad coach.” Winning does not matter. Good coaching does matter but not how you think it does. All the teams listed by others were teams that happen to be winning. So yes, everyone is talking about winning. |
Simply because whatever team you represent was not on the list of recommendations does not mean that people are talking about winning. Multiple people here have asked about recommendations about development and good programs. And yes sometimes favorites are the talented ones. But don’t kid yourself in thinking that some coaches aren’t swayed by a soccer moms (or dads) kissing up to them. |
GA is pretty much done. ECNL has monopolized college pathways. Both are competitive but ENCL is the route you want to take if your DC is looking to play at college level. |
If you want to include GA in the discussion, SYC is definitely the fourth team. If we are just talking ECNL its pretty open after the top 3 already mentioned. And wins and loses aside - those are the best four Pre-GA/Pre-ECNL teams in the area. And for the record, my child does not play for any of them. |
-Thats just not correct at all. GA had 700 GA players commit to playing colleges from 91 GA clubs. 413 to D1, 133 to D2, 126 to D3 and 21 to NAIA schools. GA has not been around that long, when compared to ECNL. But their college commitments impressively keep rising year after year. Also, the rosters in GA are a lot smaller... so girls get alot more playing time. So yes, I would also consider the pre-GA teams also if college is your goal. |
How about VRSC and FCV they are also GA |
I heard a good thing about VRSC and FCV SOUTH seems like they have it all together, This might be another good option for you to try. |
What about them? They suck |
| Loudoun rosters normally leave their 16th spot on the bench open for shy and talented kids to warm. |
Hahaha. Meow! Someone is a catty little B today! Lol |
The VRSC teams are transplants from FCV. Based on previous years they will probably hold their own. The FCV teams are their previous GA2 teams. They will struggle playing GA. |
Cool story dude. You must be a really amazing coach. |
Minus their top players. |
It’s absolutely true. GA keeps falling behind year over year. They are many more girls D1 programs so of course there are GA players making crappy programs. Now pull stats on the top college programs. They comprised mainly of ECNL players. Its like over 70%. ECNL has monopolized college path. |
