Outside of the top 4 teams it doesn’t really matter.
What are the top 4 teams?
GFR, Arlington, Loudoun, McLean
I'm not sure I would include GFR in there but certainly Arlington, Loudoun and McLean as the top three.
Agree on GFR as it depends on the year. GFR’s 2014 girls pre-ECNL is very strong but their 2013 team is just okay.
+1 Maybe SYC to round out the top 4....but I definitely agree with the above mentioned as top 3.
Someone mentioned top 4 pre ECNL. SYC would be pre GA. No longer part of ECNL.
Thats just night correct at all. GA had 700 GA players commit to playing colleges from 91 GA clubs. 413 to D1, 133 to D2, 126 to D3 and 21 to NAIA schools. Why does the topic always shift to which teams win the most and then inevitably is ECNL or GA better for winning?
GA is pretty much done. ECNL has monopolized college pathways. Both are competitive but ENCL is the route you want to take if your DC is looking to play at college level.
-Thats just not correct at all. GA had 700 GA players commit to playing colleges from 91 GA clubs. 413 to D1, 133 to D2, 126 to D3 and 21 to NAIA schools. GA has not been around that long, when compared to ECNL. But their college commitments impressively keep rising year after year. Also, the rosters in GA are a lot smaller... so girls get alot more playing time. So yes, I would also consider the pre-GA teams also if college is your goal.
