Yes. |
| I have a U10 girl on the top team. Looking towards next year which teams should we look at for Pre ECNL and which teams should we avoid? |
What team are you currently on? You don't want to stay there? |
this thread was created literally to answer the question you just asked. |
Does your club not have a pre ECNL team? Either way, your daughter’s team should be playing the top teams of other clubs that do have it. Try to see what the overall skill level of those teams are to get some idea of where she might fit in. |
| ^ this. Listen to the parents and the coach. See which clubs you like, recognizing that the coach could change for next year of course. |
McLean Arlington Loudoun GFR VSA VYS Herndon Valor BRYC PW Courage Villarreal Richmond Strikers Stafford Revolution DCSC LMVSC |
Are these all to look at? Why is dcsc on this list? |
These are all the teams/clubs with teams in the Pre-ECNL north. The Richmond Kickers have a team, too. 2013s: https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/34243/schedules?group=283534 2014s: https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/34243/schedules?group=283531 |
Avoid PW Courage, Villarreal, Herndon, LMVSC |
|
If she has ECNL aspiration, avoid teams with only ECNL-R or a joint venture for ECNL
So avoid: GFR VSA VYS BRYC PW Courage Richmond Strikers (not local so on this list) Stafford Revolution DCSC LMVSC |
Wait a minute, you must be new to soccer? PWSI, VSA and Herdon feed in to ENCL VDA teams. The same may that Mclean and VYS do now. Please don't provide false info. |
| Isn't this the perfect example of what's wrong with soccer in this area? Chasing clubs and leagues from such a young age. Shop around, be honest with where your DC is at their age and find the appropriate team where they can grow as a player and re-evaluate with valuable feedback each year. |
Sorry, you are right-- I missed a couple |
