Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
|
I remember, it is still haunting. Let's not forget the woman who was killed on Seven Lochs Road not so many years ago by a day laborer who had done odd jobs for her. Remember they had his fingerprints on file so they knew where to find him and they found many of hers and others possessions in the basement apartment he was renting in Hyattsville. This was at least ten years ago and here we are, an illegal who the police knew about but who was never removed and then he murdered an elderly woman living alone in her home. Fast forward to today, the same problem but now on "steroids" if you will. People, we have got to stop thinking this assimilation crap is working, it's clearly not. |
yeah, cuz trump is going to do SO much to help children living in poverty. By cutting funding to federal programs and diverting it to the military and military contractors. |
Can you tell me about the other 200 rapes in montgomery county last year? You seem to have facts about crime. |
I fail to see how you can address PP's concern if you've always done private. That's an elitist view that trivializes PP's issues. I am a product of private and public (MCPS). My daughter attended private until we moved. My son has always been a public school student. I would never say to anyone that this is "nothing new to MCPS." Yes, it is. While the girls were dealing and doing cocaine at my hoity private, they were getting high on weed at my public. but instances of rape? of horrible gang activity? of crime in the schools? no - none of that I am first generation, and my mother, who's still living, was an enthusiastic Democrat until this election when she refused to vote for either candidate. After she heard of the Rockville rape, she was beside herself and worried sick for my own two kids. This happens more often than not. know why I can say this? b/c I'm a PS teacher. It's getting worse and worse. So please don't speak for others who are part of the public system b/c you don't have the experience to chime in if you're paying for private. |
This is completely about immigration - ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Legal immigrants are welcome to apply and come to our country if they do it the right way. Please don't confuse the outrage at illegal immigration with those of us who are supportive of those trying to make a new life for themselves through the proper channels. Either way, children do not deserve to be raped because they are forced to go to school with men here in the country illegally. |
No it is not. It is about exploiting 1 case for your political gain. YOU ARE EXPLOITING A RAPE VICTIM. YOU! YOU MAKE ME SICK! |
This is so NOT true, just not true. I grew up here, nothing like the social experiment it has become over the past decade. You either get it or you don't But honestly, if you don't have children in MCPS at this point then you really have no clue what is going on. As a parent and community member, I do and this is not normal. So people like you need to stop trying to sweep this behavior under the proverbial rug. Perhaps we can set up a refugee/illegal immigrant settlement in your backyard and you can take responsibility for all of them. My husbands extended family were killed during the holocaust, please don't use the holocaust to justify your liberal crap. These people should stay in their countries and fight for their homelands, not our boys and girls fighting for them. |
This. Plus 1. |
| Where do you move TO? In many places this issue is worse. |
The best place is a Rockville HS since this has never happened before and everybody will be on high alert. |
| MCPS is barely hanging on to its past reputation. Time for change. We need a new superintendent |
No place in moco unless they change the policy of letting illegal immigrant adults attend a public high school. |
we just did that, and the same "shit" is still going on. In fact it's worse. This is bigger than a superintendent, it's much bigger. |
We need far more than a new superintendent. We need a clean up of the entire house. It had a mixed reputation when I went 30+ years ago and has only declined. Most of the surrounding counties have caught up if not surpassed us. |
I'm a teacher in mcps and it seems like he's making some big changes. He can't change laws, however. The changes won't be felt immediately, but there will be changes. |
