| LOL must be all those guns from Virginia! Oh wait, nobody in FCPS has ever been shot. Sounds like a Maryland problem. What could it be... |
m This is a complete misrepresentation of RICA. RICA is a school for kids with emotional disabilities who need medical management along with special education. |
| Probably a ghost gun. Order them online |
This is completely incorrect. RICA is not a jail. It is an MCPS school run in part with Shepard Pratt. Think half hospital/ half school. It provides extreme emotional support and therapy. Every staff member is basically a special Ed teacher. It is a nation wide model for helping kids with emotional and pyschological needs. You have to go through the IEP process just like most special programs in MCPS. A judge or school admin can’t just stick someone there. |
Good grief with the ghost guns. 1) You have to be 21 to order one. 2) It's not a firearm when you receive it. 3) You need a good router, skills, plated drill bits, a vice, tapping oil, and a jig to mill the lower. 4) It will cost over $1000 with all the tools and parts you need. 5) When completed, it's a firearm like any other but without a serial number. Which honestly, doesn't do sh*t anyway. 6) It's probably easier to give Devonte $200 for a stolen .38 with the serial number removed. |
| It’s completely irresponsible of both MCPS and the people here to make this out as a psychological/psychiatric problem. |
Agreed - Dr. Evans is very good, and most parents we speak with at the school agree. Whatever panic was perceived is simply second hand and up for interpretation. It is confirmed that there was no yelling, or mistakes in protocol / leadership. |
Here too. I like Dr. Evans and think most students and teachers look up to him. |
Silly comment, from someone trying to use this situation to either spread hate or any grudges. I do know that he does what’s best for the kids, and holds the helicopter parents at bay without impacting his decisions. He is open-minded to what’s best for the whole and some don’t like that. |
+100 |
She wasn't coming from her office. |
They actually are. They are trained to be completely in charge of their school without any input from outside. |
The guy next to her is wearing a pink tie so I hope you’re outraged at his choice as well. |
|
Clearly takes less time to tie a tie than put on a jacket. Like an hour less from my calculation from afar. |
