NP. I'm from SC and know a ton of people like this family. This kid thought he was untouchable. I'm not saying he deserved to be killed, but I am saying that justice wasn't coming his way through any legal means.

If this evidence exists, i wonder why it took so long for him to be investigated and indicted. this guy did appalling things (including death of house keeper and the steal of the insurance money, trying to cover up the accident his son caused by silencing witnesses and trying to shift blame on another kid) but he got away with eveyrthing until the mountain of s$it was just to high (probably embezzling millions from his attorney partners was not cool). also the story of the teenager who died a few years ago and the mother kept saying it was not an accident and she thought the Murdaugh kids were involved but she was ignored. I wonder how much s$it this family got away for decades while controlling prosecution in that area and while sentencing poor or minorities to prison for small things. disgusting is the system and the people who helped them

From what I have heard from people who know the family well, he’s a rotten apple in an otherwise well thought of family. They have done a lot of pro bono work for a very poor county for decades.

This may or may not be true, we have no way of knowing, but I think there's a concerted effort to pin everything on Alex as the scapegoat. But remember a handful of his other buddies have been indicted, too, and more are likely coming. There's something rotten in South Carolina - a network of good ole boys getting away with decades (centuries?) of rigging the system their way. Maybe Alex is the worst, maybe he too kit too far, maybe in his family he's the only bad apple, but the whole house of cards is tumbling down. .
