A young woman is killed in 2019 when thrown from a boat driven into a bridge by a drunk young man. Man's dad is prominent attorney; three generations within the family were elected prosecutors. A trial date was never set for the young woman's death (this was pre-Covid); driver of boat began receiving death threats, was murdered last week alongside his mother:

Dad was allegedly visiting his own father in hospital at the time of the deaths.
Transcripts of witnesses in the boat the night the woman was killed in 2019 describe that the boat driver "slapped, pushed, and spit on" his girlfriend (not the deceased) while drunk and driving the boat. Awful. |

The Dad's a former prosecutor and current corporate lawyer. He's not stupid enough to kill his wife and son with easily identifiable weapons just behind one of his three homes. The son who died was getting away with murder literally - the girlfriend's family who died in the speedboat crash had filed two injunctions to move the case forward and the slippery kid repped by his father and all his father's friends had just received another win. The dead girl's loved ones knew they might see some 'blood money' but no justice and because of the way the Murdaugh family was intrinsic to the local community - that kid would grow up to be the local prosecutor, judge, and richest man in the area in due time. So someone decided to take care of the problem and the mom got in the way. “(Mallory Beach) with knowledge of the risk, voluntarily exposed herself to and assumed the risk of injury,” Parker’s attorneys argued... Last year, FITSNews obtained documents showing that two of the responding deputies on the night of the crash had ties to the Murdaugh family’s law firm. Adding to the speculation, the only Beaufort county sheriff’s deputy who identified Paul as the driver of the boat that crashed – Steven Domino – was later fired from his job for drug use. |

This entire story is insane.
I saw the interview on GMA with the two uncles. They said that Paul had no enemies, when, in fact, he had multiple enemies. They were both delusional. |
