Amazing.

Evidence?

"In the Russian-occupied regions of the Crimea and southern Ukraine, Russian proxies, intelligence officers and military commanders have begun to evacuate and “urgently resettle their families” back into Russian territory, the defence intelligence of Ukraine’s military of defence said."

I'd discount anything that comes from the warring parties themselves. Ukraine was always open about conducting an "information war" in addition to the actual one.

Ah, yes, you asked for evidence and you don't like what you're reading. I'm sure if it's legitimate, it'll be confirmed within days. They don't need to convince the Russians of this since they'll know the situation on the ground and have no reason to lie to westerners about what's happening.

The statement you referenced says, among other things, that sale and purchase of Crimea real estate was banned by Russia, and this is not the case.

I think you are quite naïve if you believe the bolded.

DP please. The terrain dictates what can be held and what can not be held. There are a few key areas(urban area, bridges, rivers, etc) on the open steps. Once one area falls other areas become untenable(supply line, limited area of mobility, lack of defensive structure, etc). The mud season is coming and everything will be forced to improved roads. If the roads can not be protected supplies will not get through.

Russian supply logistics are conducted almost entirely by rail. That does not bode well for being able to effectively reconstitute ground forces without air superiority. Beyond that all evidence points to severe degradation in equipment. Inoperable tanks and armored vehicles. Warped artillery barrels. High precision weaponry in short supply. This on top of the extraordinary losses already sustained. It will take time to redeploy forces from the east and supply them with winter gear. While RF can’t even pay its soldiers they provide death payment to families to buy a new Lada that some call a “coffin car.”

The pressures will continue to mount in Putin from the ultranationalists to his right who perceive him as weak for not leveling all of Ukraine. We will have to wait and see how Putin reacts. Will he lay blame on a group of “elites” within the military and siezed the opportunity to eliminate political threats? Will the hardliners pull off a Soviet style power grab? None of the outcomes seem great.

That friend in Moscow who went to dacha has never been to Moscow.

"Believe me, if every massive traffic jam on MKAD would mean a coup, Russia would not have a functioning government since 1991" (Max Fras)

To add insult to injury, the Ring Road referenced in that tweet is not MKAD.

Correct but you see how quickly nonsense like that is spread by the eager.

What happened to the Russian Army? They've got sailors driving tanks.

They don't need nukes. They need NATO membership. Far more effective deterrent.

NATO will pay Ukraine to fight but it does not want to die for it.

Maybe Russia is going to be post war Germany, respectable and well to do? A girl can dream!

Yep with an average household income of $6500 the ordinary Russian is clamoring for plane tickets.

It’s more symbolic than anything. If - even in theory- you can board a plane to pretty much any European country - then life is normal. If you can get your McD burger and Ikea couch, a visa to the US without jumping through hoops… you know the old 2019 things.
Can’t wait for it to be back. That’s why I want Ukraine to win - Russia will then get a light or not so light whipping and eventually become a country with a more or less ok reputation again
