Did you read the DM or Tayler article about how the Wales’ delayed the hiring of their new CEO/head of staff this year? |
Divorced or dead by end of 2024. Sadly. But good that it’s resolved before a succession if/when Charles also passes. |
This. |
It's not a British thing. It's just one weird phrase used by one particular journalist thing. |
Lots of outside reading. Make your own informed judgements if you really care that much.
Daily mail Tatler Hola OK Hello magazine R/RoyalsGossip R/KateMiddletonMissing If you are curious, google the Spanish journalist Concha Calleja who broke the story about her being sick in January. She’s written other things as well. |
So sad |
Because they’re obviously separating and it has nothing to do with an illness. Why would preventative chemo require her to be MIA until 2025? Why wouldn’t William have been there for support for the filming of her announcement? Remember how her siblings were photographed on vacation during her serious illness. They’re going to medically retire her and William is going to go on his way. |
I’m late to the party so forgive me if this has already been discussed:
Regarding the adjuvant chemotherapy: I have a family member who underwent pretty aggressive “preventative”/adjuvant chemotherapy and radiation. The thing is, it wasn’t a months-long process. And he wasn’t sick and feeling poorly once it was over. It lasted a few weeks, and during the process, especially in the days immediately after he was exhausted and felt poorly, but once the treatment was over, he felt himself again. Kate’s adjuvant chemo began months ago. How is it still ongoing? You vent receive chemo for half a year, can you? And you stop feeling poorly soon after treatment stops. So why can’t she be seen for a YEAR? The math just doesn’t make sense! And as for her hair, if that’s the excuse, well, she has money for the best wigs. It’s not as though the public doesn’t know she has cancer and was undergoing treatment! |
People keep talking about British schools and whether they are out for the summer. They don't really do that. They have more but shorter vacations throughout the year. Like two to three or so weeks off. Then a summer vacation that starts maybe mid July that is longer. But it depends on what school you go to.
It's not like here where you have short breaks over Christmas, thanksgiving, and spring break and then one long uninterrupted summer break. |
Yep, you can receive chemo for months or even years! Some folks with metastatic, stage iv incurable cancer will stay on chemo until it stops working and then go to a second treatment line. We would need more info on your friend to understand if it has any bearing here. What kind of cancer did he have? What chemo drugs was he on? How many rounds? What stage? Any immunotherapy or monoclonal antibody therapy and if so, which one? Happy he had a full recovery! |
Nothing about the story they are putting out makes sense. |
I still think someone would have leaked to the press (although maybe the entire school and press are covering for her?) |
How does wanting privacy equal dead or divorced? |
If her cancer was found incidentally during an abdominal surgery, it’s very possible they found it early enough. Preventative chemo is more than a couple weeks. |
Considering we don’t know what type of cancer or the staging for Kate, we can’t even begin to compare. |
