Why do you think that from that article? Sounds to me like there will be a shut down, at least for a few days, til GOP agrees to fund the ACA.

In case it wasn't clear, the House Democrats have been concerned that Schumer will cave again. They don't want him to.

The House reconvenes Tuesday at noon. I think there will be a Kabuki Theatre shutdown as the Republicans wait to see if Gillibrand can get the eight Dems necessary to break the filibuster. With Schumer sympathetic but needing to fend off AOC’s primary challenge, she’ll run out of time.

Republicans will then revise the House CR to say OK we’ll discuss the subsidies. That’s enough for Schumer and they’ll pass the CR in time for everyone to be back at work by Friday, or Monday if they want to give a long weekend.

I'm not sure I understand your timeline. It doesn't actually take long for the House and Senate to vote, when they're motivated. They could even do a stopgap 2 or 3 day CR to get to Friday, if they think they need a bit more time.

You're saying that Senate Ds will give up, but do it slowly instead of quickly. Possible, sure, but not the most likely scenario.

No, they won't do the subsidies. Trump and Vought are itching to shut down the government so they can blame Dems and trigger mass layoffs.

Absolutely nothing stops them from doing this regardless of an appropriation.

Where are you reading this? Because it's false. Dems are only asking for an extension of the ACA subsidy and current Medicare. There's no 1.5 trillion and free healthcare for illegals in their ask. There's no open borders in their ask. Whoever is saying that is completely full of shit.

1) All the Epstein file released.
2) No federal agents can wear mask and must provide identification.
3) If farmers get pay out from tariffs and all Americans will receive the same amount in a tariff check.

Unfortunately many of them voted for this to begin with. The Dems are more likely to cave on this, I think at most republicans would vote to delay the cuts first another year. Is that any better? If people are going to feel pain it’s probably better to get it over with before the midterms so there’s a chance to express disapproval at the ballot box.
