Personally, I think this is a great move. It is the responsibility of the host nation to repatriate their citizens. I do not understand why Colombia won’t welcome their own people back.

Africa makes great coffee and I’ll gladly pay $3 a pound more to remove illegal migrants from our country.

Let me guess: You live in, what, Ohio? Do you know a single undocumented immigrant? Have you ever met an immigrant from Columbia? Would you know what an immigrant from Columbia looked like? Would you know anything about that immigrant, that is, if you know any immigrants?

Get out and meet some undocumented immigrants. Talk to them. Find out what they have endured in their lives.

Now, compare their experiences (grinding poverty, violence unimaginable to you or to anyone you know) to your cushy, comfortable, safe life.

DP: I've met many immigrants from Columbia. They tend to be Ravens fans, put sugar in their tea and don't know how to pronounce the word lacrosse or know what it means. Other than that they're good people though. Say what you will about Howard County but it is one of the richest counties in the country. It's a bit boring but there's neither grinding poverty nor unimaginable violence there.

These marginal countries need to understand that there is a new sheriff in town. And when a US plane shows up, you land the plane and take the people, even if not yours.
