You can't dump millions of your citizens into another country and then refuse to take them back when the other country sends them back home.

Maybe millions of Americans should go fly over to Japan, illegally stay over there, then the US should refuse to take back our citizens when Japan sends them back? Absolutely unreal entitlement BS from Latin American countries.

How would you feel if the hundeds of people who overstayed visas in Great Britain (and I guarantee you there are in fact hundreds of people at this moment in that category) were dumped off in the US via a British military flight after being denied the chance to use the toilet for 24 hours. What if it was your daughter. Of course they are offended. Were are physically treating their citizens as if they are cattle, and then we are going to their country thinking we can get away with it and still have normal relationships with them? Pretend they are people equal to you and then think about it again.

I wouldn't feel anything, in fact, I'd high 5 the British for spankin' stupid Americans' arses who broke their laws.

Remember when that American was caned in Singapore for committing crimes? He deserved it, and I applauded the Singaporean govt for it. I wish he received more lashes for being a dumbasz.

You break laws in a foreign country, you get the book thrown at you. You go to a country like Thailand and break the law, don't expect to receive the best treatment in Thai prisons.

No one is going to give you white glove treatment back home if you come here illegally. There is no tangible evidence at all to support any of the claims. These are the same liars who come into our country trying to claim they're here for asylum purposes even though that's a lie.

Dude, when the american woman killed a teen in the UK by driving in the wrong side of the road, the US flew her back so she would avoid prosecution. The parents of the killed teen even came to visit Trump and he refused to send her back. And it was a car accident, she would not have had life in prison but hey, for Trump an American woman who kills a UK teen in the UK does not need to subject to UK justice. So give me a break.

This is what leadership looks like.

Yay! Let’s piss the entire world off!!! Great leadership.

We've already done that. it's a sunk cost at this point.

It’s SO unfair! These Columbian nationals should be engaging in criminal activity here in America, not back in their home countries. By sending criminals back to where they came from, America is basically ruining those countries where they came from! America is basically littering.

LATEST UPDATE:

Trump pausing Colombia tariffs after migrants deal, White House says

•

“The Government of Colombia has agreed to all of President Trump’s terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States, including on U.S. military aircraft, without limitation or delay. Based on this agreement, the fully drafted IEEPA tariffs and sanctions will be held in reserve, and not signed, unless Colombia fails to honor this agreement.”

”The visa sanctions issued by the State Department, and enhanced inspections from Customs and Border Protection, will remain in effect until the first planeload of Colombian deportees is successfully returned.”

”Today’s events make clear to the world that America is respected again. President Trump will continue to fiercely protect our nation’s sovereignty, and he expects all other nations of the world to fully cooperate in accepting the deportation of their citizens illegally present in the United States.”

So flights to Colombia can continue just as they were happening during the Biden administration.

Not quite the same. Colombian president was upset because they are being treated like criminals and handcuffed with Trump. That was his protest. Other than that same as Biden except Trump is doing everything he can to make it a spectacular show.

Not quite the same. Colombia was turning planes back, not anymore. Colombia actually offering to send their own planes to take people back.

Colombia was turning planes back because Trump was making an inhumane and unnecessary show of being a d!ck. Now that Trump can send flights like a normal person everything is as it was.

Trukmp went from defcon 5 to defcon 1 and colombia wasn't ready for that smoke so they:

"agreed to all of President Trump’s terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States, including on U.S. military aircraft, without limitation or delay."

Colombia yields on US deportation flights to avert trade war

In a late-night news conference, Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo announced that the two countries had "overcome the impasse" and that Colombia would accept returned citizens.
While Murillo did not directly refer to the White House statement, according to which Colombia had agreed to allow US military flights to take the deportees back, he did not deny it either.

+1. Just like someone at State is having to smooth things over with Brazil so trade wars aren’t happening in Trump’s first weeks in office. Trump and his team can bluster all they want. What was learned here today is that other countries will buck back.

Nobody wins a trade war with ther USA. Nobody can withstand a trade war better than the USA.

Trump: Trade war!

Colombia: OK

Trump: Fine, no more shackled detainees returned on military flights

Colombia: Good. Was that so hard?

Trump: They gave in!

We're still shackling them. And Colombia is taking them in that condition.

We never shackled the young kids.

The timing was wrong so they had to surrender immediately.

Everyone talked about the flowers getting more expensive. No one mentioned the hit to Colombia if Trump slows down customs for all those flowers in the next two weeks.

Trump is fairly transparent. He says “America first” and he means it. These 2nd tier countries (all of South America) better toe the line, or face immediate consequences.

And, this warning to Mexico. Trump had no need for Diplomatic niceties.

I love that President Petro pointed out that there are about 15,000 undocumented Americans living in Colombia. I wonder how chill we would be if they all suddenly arrived in unannounced military planes, in shackles and handcuffs.

Agree. We act like no Americans are undocumented anywhere. I mean, have you met American travelers? Of course we are.

The German president has decided to get tough on illegals and implement border control following Trumps model.

Don’t be smug. Latin America can go join BRICS and they will have plenty of opportunities to sell their goods and services. No nation will take unnecessary insults and nor should they ever do. I don’t oppose what Trump is doing but one doesn’t have to crass in saying and doing things.

If we don’t even have the emotional maturity to be firm without raising our voice then I don’t know how good is the future of this country. A mature person wields power by just their silence, only thugs raise their voices.
