That isn’t the screener.

PP is spreading misinformation.

Republicans are so vile.

Right out of the playbook. Repeat enough times and people will believe it. I’m surprised the posts aren’t made in all caps.

So none of the questions in the Youth survey the PP pasted on this thread are being asked? Or are they? Those questions are insane and if they are being asked I would like to opt my kids out of them. Is it SEL, FLE or what? What subject do I need to opt out to prevent my kids from having to answer such personal questions AT SCHOOL.

You’re deflecting.
We have people believing that their rising third grader is going to be asked the questions that are listed in this thread. People are coming right out and emphatically stating that these are in the SEL Screener, which is a lie. People think their ES children are being asked about their sexual identity, which is false. This is not addressed in K-6. Not in the SEL Screener, not in the Youth Survey and not in FLE.

Question #5 asks if the kid is transgender or not sure if they are transfender

#6 asks if they are straight, gay, bi or unsure

#19 asks if there are lots of chances for students to talk to the teachers one on one

#32 & 33 ask about if there are lots of adults in the neighborhood that the kid can talk to about things.
(For some reason, the answers for this particular set of questions 32&33 have all caps and double exclamation points)

Questions #40- 52 ask about the parents, the parents views on alcohol, smoking, vaping and drugs, and whether the parents yell.

#55-56 ask how often the kid bullies others

#57-59 ask how often the kid carries weapons and what types

#60 asks how often the kid says racist things

#64 asks how often your parent teases, taunts or bullies you

#65 asks how often your parent is physical with you

#66 asks how often the kid has been sexually assaulted

#67 asks how often the kid drives drunk

#68 asks how often the kid texts and drives

#69 asks how often the kid dozes off while driving

#70-71 asks about their gang activity

#72 -73 asks about controlling bf/gf behavior

#74 asks how many times their bf/gf pressures them into sex

#75 asks about abuse from gf/bf

#76 asks how many times the kid has been raped by their bf/gf

#77-80 asks about cyberbullying

#81-84 asks about suicide/suicidal thoughts/
How many attempts at suicide

#85-131 asks specific questions about alcohol use, drug use, vaping, specific drugs used and number of times (this is identifiable and linked to your minor students fcps computer)

#132 Has the minor ever had sex

#133 How old did the minor lose their virginity

#134 how many people has the minor had sex with

#135 how many people has the minor had sex with the past 3 months

#136 Did the minor use drugs when they had sex

#137 Did the minor use a condom the last time they had sex

#138 list the birth control used last time the minor had sex

#139 has the minor had oral sex

(All of these questions are identifiable and linked to your individual minor child.)

The PP said the SEL Screener contains questions about sexual behavior and identity. I linked the SEL Screener and asked the PP to identify questions that show this because ei didn’t see any. None of these examples are from that.

Nope.

The prior poster said:

"
I read the Grade 3-5 questions earlier this week. I just looked at the 6-12. I don't see any questions that ask about sexual orientation or gender identity. Which questions are you seeing? (I admit I skimmed the 6-12 survey.)
https://www.fcps.edu/stud...rades-3-12

I don't see this topic in ES FLE. I'm not familiar with the Youth Survey.

Nope.

23:04 said:
SEL; FLE; and FC Youth Survey inquire students in FCPS about their sexual orientation and gender identity multiple times per year.

The SEL Screener was then referenced (it’s broken up grades 3-5 and 6-12) and linked.

Which questions in the SEL Screener cover these topics?

Crickets. They are caught in their lies.

Its not the SEL screener. It is the FCPS Youth Survey given to all students (grade 6,8,10&12) in the Fall. The really bad questions are only given to grades 8,10 & 12 though.

The information can be found online.

The poster clearly identified the questions as being from the County Youth Survey given to all 8th, 10th and 12th graders.

The political trolling by the person(s) attached to collecting student data of other people's mi or children is astounding.

This is not a partisan issue

No, we can very clearly see the posters referring to the SEL screener. Stop lying.

Guess Republicans can't make a point without lying.

The thread topic is about FCPS refusing to follows the governor's guidance to make all sureveys opt in.

You are trying to make it about the elementary SEL survey only in order to disguise how intrusive these surveys are.

I blame the people who fall for this though, like some of the people on here or are suddenly "flabbergasted." Do some research. Don't just accept what these nutballs say. If these constantly fall for Republican lies they will fall for anything and I feel bad for the kids they are raising. People lack critical thinking skills and it's sad.

Oh, please. the questions are still in a survey.

But, what could be more misinformation than to say that boys can be girls? And, to teach the kids that this is okay.

Example: women are now "egg producers" in some gender facilities.

It's funny how that one little word makes all the difference.

I'm not sure who is more disappointing. The vile people spreading the lies or the dummies falling for it. It's how we got Youngkin in the first place.

The problem is there are people causing chaos by saying that these questions are being covered in the SEL Screener, FLE and the Youth Survey. They repeat it over and over and others start to believe it. So then others worry and think their ES student is being asked about their sexual identity, preferences, preferred pronouns, etc. When asked to provide specific examples they quote questions asked in the Youth Survey for high schoolers. Nothing from the ES SEL Screener or k-12 FLE. I, for one, am not saying it’s not in the HS Youth Survey, but everything else that’s being spread is just an attempt to discredit the schools. Critique and debate the HS Survey questions, it don’t lead parents to believe this is addressed at the younger grades.

The questions posted on this thread were a direct copy and paste from this survey. Who are the "nutballs"?

This thread is about all of the surveys and opt in vs opt out, including the county youth survey, not just the elementary SEL screener.

To imply otherwise is disingenuous and deceitful.

Thank you. Why are the PPs so offended by an opt in model?

This thread is about FCPS defying the governor's guidance to make all surveys opt in.

All surveys include the county youth survey.

Those who are so against parent opt in are doing so in the name of partisan politics to try to defy anything youngkin puts forward.

It is evil and wrong for the far left political activists to play politics with our minor children's privacy, data and well being.

Make the surveys opt in. All of the surveys.

This should not be controversial. This is not a republican vs democrwt issue.

Quit making everything about politics and defying youngkin.

You have the opportunity to opt out. What is your problem?

As fo rthis: "t is evil and wrong for the far left political activists to play politics with our minor children's privacy, data and well being."

OPT OUT and shut up. God, I am so tired of you people. Just so tired of your lies, manipulation, all of it.

DP.
Most parents are not on a forum like this. They have no clue that they have to opt out of these surveys. Is that information front and center with parents? Some parents do not have the time to sit down and read all the details that we get sent. This is not something that leaps out to people.

And, even if it does not "leap out" to them, I think some parents would be surprised at the questions on the SEL and the youth survey--and they very much would be surprised to know that it is not anonymous to everyone.

Why are you offended by an opt in model?

So far, your only arguments are name calling, cursing, yelling about trump supporters and republicans, making political slurs.

You have offered no rational, concrete or adult responses or arguments against following the governor's guidance that schools shall switch to an opt in model.

What are your arguments against opt in?

Can you present them in a rational, adult manner without slurs and insults?

No. That's all she's got. Probably the same person who throws "bigot" into so many posts.
