I think he wanted Lee to be into sister, as you say, a trade up. So Lee was all, nah, nah thinking he was reassuring him, on a completely different page. Will the doctor stay married to her? Seems kind of humiliating, all this mess, no? |

Why are you dismissing the link between the brother and Bob. It's an established link. Why does Bob also need to know the dr for this to make sense? I'm confused why this is coming up since the link is established. |

There is no link between Bin and Nima without the sister. Nima was some no-degree one man IT shop in the suburbs. Bob was CTO of a billion dollar tech company. They don’t work in same circles. |

You are completely misunderstanding. Per how they were listed in his phone contacts, Lee knew the BROTHER via the SISTER, as in that was the first connection. Not talking about the doctor. He did not know the sister through the brother, the relationships started the other way around. |

Ok. Why can't they know each other first hand? Why does this have to involve Bob's ex getting plastic surgery from Khazar's husband and then somehow Bob meets the Dr this way, and that leads to meeting the life? I guess I don't understand why the straight line theories aren't sufficient and there needs to be a bizarre and unlikely backstory. |

Lots of people in tech dont have degrees. It looks like Nima was a software engineer at tech companies previously. I think you're overestimating the social stratification in the tech world. A C team person will absolutely know some SEs that they met along the way. |

My point is this guy has no college connections, no career overlap with Lee, and worked at 3rd tier companies before putting up his IT shingle in a field that has no overlap with with Bob did (Android development at Google and then mobile payments as at Square). Nima 2005 he was network engineer at Marfic Technologies, and subsequently at Coast Range Technologies, according to The Chronicle. He worked as a consultant for a number of years before launching Expand IT in 2010. Nima was 25 when he started that “company”, Bob was a married 30 year old tech executive — there’s just no way they had much overlap. In addition, it sounds like his phone lists Nima as K’s brother! Indicating he knew K first. |

| The woman in the apartment building the night before the murder yelling Nima's name is a curious twist. She did not seem to know which unit was his, so likely not his sister. A friend of the sister passing on info? Someone with her eye on the doctor, looking to stir trouble? I imagine that the door of a luxury building would have cameras at the door and in lobby? Wonder who she will turn out to be and what role her seeking him out played? |

Bob literally had Nima in his contacts as "via" the sister. He knew the sister first. How did he meet the sister? That has yet to be clarified. Since his ex-wife said she recognized the name, perhaps the doctor did some of her apparent work and met the wife in the office. Lee was said to know the sister for 3 years, around the time of the divorce from his wife. YES he knew the murderer, but that was not the start of the social connections. Maybe have been ex-wife to doc/sister > murderer. |
