Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
| It makes me wonder what goes on in the schools with larger numbers of illegals. Does any one have insight? |
| This is just too horrible for words. God help us all. We have to be able to put our children's safety first. How can we let undocumented immigrants, especially ones nearing adulthood, into our schools without any kind of vetting? This has to be a turning point. I'm sorry. I don't mean to be offensive... but this crime is just too much! Combine this with all the MS13 violence going on. It's not good. We should institute a travel ban against El Salvador! |
| MCPS should have a community meeting on the reason illegals are in schools with our children. How wide spread is this and what security measures are implemented. |
They work hard, get good grades, have a tight knit community, are good at soccer, go to college. |
The rapist was not from El Salvador. |
pp, I'm sure some are doing what you say but, you can't speak for *all* illegal immigrants. You just can't. |
Plus, the key word here is ILLEGAL. The act of being in this country already makes them criminals because they did not come through the proper channels. And it is completely unfair to those immigrants willing to wait and do it the right way. Being rewarded with free schooling, food, healthcare etc when you shouldn't be here in the first place? C'mon, it's just wrong! And look what happens when you allow them into our schools! We have to stand up to the ridiculous political correctness and do what is RIGHT for our citizens and our children. |
Yes, this is very refreshing! |
| How can the achievement gap be closed when MCPS has 18 year old illegals, speaking little if any English, in the 9th grade. |
| Being an older and recently retired general contractor. I have seen the construction industry lose most of its skilled craftsmen. At the same time the technology is increAsing. Not good for the industry. |
| Current builder here. As we say in the industry; "You can not have 50 million hispanics in the US to paint houses and cut grass. Who is going to do the skilled and hard work? How often does a house need to be painted? Just a thought for the open minded. |
Easy. You just measure it in a way that makes it less apparent. |
How? Pressure the Council and BoE. Protest. Seriously. Alert your Council member and tell him you'll vote him out if he doesn' respond and reopen alternative schools, etc. Call the press. This is your moment to rise up. |
This. If the county is going to welcome illegal immigrants then we need to address this issue in our schools. |
| You don't have to be from El Salvador to join MS13. Furthermore these students show us the lack of talent and positive ambition entering our country. |
