+1. And, sports are very competitive in this area so coaches are going to be discussed.

Yes. Coaches will be discussed, but they are hardly public figures.

What's the scouting report on the Heights.

Whats the deal with the IAC this year? Anyone provide some in-depth info on Bullis, Landon, etc.?

No one on this forum seems to know much of anything about what's happening in the IAC, WCAC or MAC. So, move on...

Questions remain whether Bullis can fill the gaps created by the talented graduated class of 2016. A few strong off-season pickups. But no way they can match the overall talent of last year. Could be as low as a 3rd place finish.

Prep is a young team with lots of talent, but it remains to be seen whether the new coach can make everything gel. If so, could go as high as 2nd.

Combination of new coach and loss of talent means SSSA will likely drop quickly to be a bottom dweller.

Episcopal lost a key player. The other key player simply cannot carry the team singlehandedly. Almost certainly will finish last in IAc. Will need to start recruiting Canadians to get back in the game.

STA has a lot of speed and strength on offense. New coach getting good reviews so far. Nice offseason pickup of a real fogo should mean they'll be an upset threat for many teams. But not enough depth on D to sustain it to anything more than a 4th place finish.

Landon is loaded. Can't seem them losing any IAC games this year.

They looked great in the Box league. I know. It's box and it's off-season. But clearly great enthusiasm and numbers, and I've always thought their HC was an excellent coach (and all around good guy).

PVI has a lot of D1 commits and an extremely strong midfield. They may beat Zaga this year.

New head coaches at Prep, St Albans, SSSA, SJ. Any others? Any early impressions?

Bullis is a dark horse. The school is committed to athletic success at all costs. They could easily win the IAC again.

Bullis brought in 3 lacrosse transfers earlier this year. Gosh knows how many will start at the school on Monday morning when the first day of spring sports begin. The school does not seem committed to developing its own players but rather relying on poaching kids from other HS programs. Their football program is just as ruthless if not worst.

Which schools were the victim of the poaching?

Bullis wins one championship and now they are poaching players? Kids transfer for many reasons and families usually do not share their reasoning. It seems that more players may want to attend Bullis due to an opportunity to play earlier in a players high school career. Also Bullis has a new STEM building that is almost complete and 2 turf fields with lights. AND a JUMBOTRON in their stadium.
