What have you done to address the appalling state of maternal health and the fact that the US ranks the lowest of all industrial countries in maternal mortality. Where are the protests and outrage? Are you as willing to kill a doctor who botches a delivery as you are a doctor who provides life-saving reproductive care to women seeing to terminate their pregnancies?

If you want to claim the mantle of "pro-life", you need to fight for all human life...and harder for the life of living, fully-realized human beings than you do for the potential life of a human fetus. If you're not doing that, the correct label is indeed "forced birth".

What I don't understand is why people would want a society where mothers are forced to raise children they don't want. Like, that outcome is not good for the children and in turn, society. More poverty, more abuse, more crime, etc. It affects everyone eventually.

And don't give me the whole give them up for adoption excuse. We all know that a fraction of those children actually get adopted, and our foster system is a nightmare. Again, poverty, abuse, crime, etc.

It isn't the child's fault- they didn't choose to be born into such circumstances and they are the ones punished.

So women who can’t abort, they neglect and abuse their own child and punish the child for being conceived? Do the mothers know that the child didn’t choose to be conceived? Exactly. And it's reversible. So in order to help protect the womenfolk from their irresponsibility, the menfolk should be responsible for their own actions and bodies and control their ejaculations. Do you think parenting can be stressful? Do you think having to move frequently because women lose their jobs and get evicted, might be stressful? What do you think is the effect on women undergoing great stress with not enough resources? Do you think they might have to accept whatever daycare fits their price, including some random neighbor who works under the table? Do you think this might be an environment where kids are more likely to be abused and/or preyed upon by “babysitters” or parents who are overwhelmed?

Every child deserves to be wanted.

Every child deserves a chance to be who they want to be. Every child should get a chance to be a teacher, or a doctor, or a fireman, or whatever they wish to be.

Lots of people have poor families and build good lives. Most people on this planet are extremely poor. They should be killed because their families are poor? They should not have a chance to live and be happy because their parents weren’t wealthy?
