Seriously, what has happened to Kyrsten Sinema?

| Sinema sold her soul. She is going to be another Tulsi in a few years. Should not have trusted her and donated to her campaign. |
That’s amazing. |
If it said she followed him into a bathroom while filming, you would have something. This is not the same. |
Oh, please. Apparently, a Republican voting his conscience and siding with Democrats sometimes is considered "brave" and "maverick" behavior. But when a Democrat votes *her* conscience and sides with Republicans, she's "sold her soul". You people are beyond idiotic - not to mention complete hypocrites. Is Kyrsten Sinema the Democrats’ John McCain ? In his day the media cheered McCain as a “maverick” who put principle ahead of party. But it turns out the word maverick applies only to Republicans opposing a Republican agenda. As Ms. Sinema’s opposition to Joe Biden’s $3.5 trillion agenda is revealing, a maverick in the Democratic Party elicits far different treatment. In the same way that John McCain was hailed as a principled independent for voting against key Republican priorities—including providing the decisive vote against repeal of ObamaCare—if Ms. Sinema ends up tanking the reconciliation bill, those covering the story ought at least to have the grace to recognize there really is a new maverick in town. https://www.wsj.com/articles/kyrsten-sinema-manchin-aoc-the-squad-biden-pelosi-bipartisan-infrastructure-bill-reconciliation-build-back-better-act-11633383248 |
DP The same standard is being applied. Democrats cheered McCain while republicans called him a RINO. In this case, republicans are cheering Sinema and democrats are saying she sold her soul. |
Not really. If McCain was betraying people and siding with corporations he would not have been cheered. Sinema is betraying people and siding with corporations and hence should be condemned. This is what she said in March 2018 when many constituents trusted her, donated to her campaign, and worked their butt off to get her elected: |
She hasn't said publicly what she wants and what it will take to get her to "yes." You are making up a narrative. |
|
Also these activists are way out of line. Following anyone into a bathroom with a camera is a massive violation of privacy not just for the senator but any other women that were using the restroom.
|
I have no idea what she is going to do. But, if you think that the taxes are going to be restricted to the wealthy and corporations, you are wrong. Where do you think pensions come from? Stocks. Where do you think rising prices come from? Inflation results are the same as a tax. Groceries cost more, Goods cost more. Everything costs more. Borrowing costs more. Housing costs more. I lived through the Carter years. Look it up. |
+1 She’s acting like a teenager. It’s not a good luck over about 20. |
True. But the media treatment is completely different. Aren’t they supposed to at least look fair and impartial? |
I have to laugh every time this ridiculous "argument" is used. I never condoned the Jan. 6 insurrection. I know of no one who did. However, that doesn't mean I'm a Democrat.

+100 I can't believe the other women who were in there didn't tell off the protesters. I would have been livid. |
