Wondering about his hometown and where he grew up and if he were noted as troubled and weird at a younger age.

I don't think so. It was pretty much a surprise to everyone except the police. He doesn't have any association to the victims (at least nothing release so far).

What was the motive?

Knowing that he was doing research in criminology, it sounds like this was a sick type of "research" for him.

Guess the cops weren’t that dumb after all.

Wow. I have been following this case closely as I'm kind of local. Honestly the whole thing was so bizarre. Statistically you are likely to be killed by someone you know but this is something out of a movie. I'm so impressed they were able to catch the guy. I hope they have an airtight case and he never sees daylight again. Very curious to see how the investigation unfolded but I'm sure there will be about 1000 documentaries made. Those poor kids.

In Scranton of all places. I wonder what his connection is to the Electric City. Electric chair, hopefully.

His research study is just insane.

I'd say this is an adverse event for this study. The IRB is probably frantic.

Only an adverse event if there is evidence that one of the victims was a study participant right?

Guess they knew what they were doing all along. Also impressed that the suspect’s identity was not leaked before the arrest.

Speculation that he sold something to the victims, like a car or furniture. But NOT confirmed and not the new car. Pure evil. And I feel so much sadness for the randomness of their deaths. I mean the killers decision to up upstairs instead of downstairs and the implications of that is profound. I feel for ALL the survivors, including the Ex boyfriend who could have come over that night after the call and been yet another casualty. RIP poor victims, life taken away too soon in their prime and then the rest of the world scrutinized their every move. And impressed by law enforcement.

Total Christian Bale, American Psycho vibe.

I mean we don’t know the evidence. Let’s not praise the investigation until we learn more.

I think the press conference is at 4

To the PP about adverse event. A study about investigating crime motives and it turns out the PI is a murderer, I think hat qualifies as an AE.

Did everyone see the he made a survey and posted it to Reddit excon subreddit to ask them how they felt committing the crimes and how they did it???
