Do we know where the roommates were earlier in the evening? If everyone was out partying then the roommate who saw the killer was likely intoxicated and not thinking clearly. But also, it seems like they saw the killer after the murders happened so it's not like she could have stopped it. Crazy, that they received a Door Dash at 4 AM, killer entered likely 4:10ish and was out by 4:25 (if I'm understanding the timeline correctly). |
To me, this says he was arrogant and unexperienced. Leaving the sheath implies that maybe he panicked. |
I don't get how they linked the DNA on the knife sheath to then going to searching trash at parent's house |
Why oh why did the witness roommate not call the police? Her friends could have survived with medical attention. That boils my blood. |
They identified him based on the car. Then they matched the DNA via his dad. All of this is just evidence that led to the arrest. Who know what evidence they've gathered after the arrest. |
The roommate heard crying and saw the killer and she did nothing for hours and hours! |
The survivor knew all of it was happening and didn’t call the police for 12 hours. WTF. |
I seriously doubt this is true. And do we know anything other than that a roommate glimpsed him leaving? |
The victims were stabbed slightly later than we thought. I think Xana opened the door, thinking it was Door Dash. Read the affidavit. Am I getting this wrong? |
The only acceptable explanation is that she was blackout drunk. Otherwise…wow. If I was a parent of one of the victims I would never forgive her. |
I'm still catching up. Did the survivor see the bodies too and saw they were attacked/knifed? |
Roommate saw him walk past her after the murders and leave through the back sliding door. Apparently she heard “stuff” going on for sometime before that - maybe some crying, a guy potentially saying “it’s ok I’m here to help you.” She went out of her room 3 different times to see what was going on because of the disturbances. Then when she saw him she locked herself in her room. She knew something was terribly wrong and did nothing for 12 hours. I have no sympathy for her. |
This is such an odd case. He clearly knew that some of what he was doing was dumb given his knowledge base on crimes (phone/car use etc). He didn't really seem to try too hard to avoid being caught.
I was thinking the roommate was drunk but she remembers very clearly what she heard and saw so I am not sure how to reconcile that with her just going to bed. Obviously she didn't know at the time that they had been murdered but she knew something was off and saw the guy and heard noises. Then she came out at noon, saw their bodies and ran outside and fainted and that led to someone else calling 911. Sounds like Xana fought him off to some extent. He had cuts on his hands and arm. She was awake when he entered the room. Since she was in the room with her boyfriend, i am surprised there wasn't more noise since he could only kill one at a time. Surviving roommate was on the same floor and close enough to hear sentences being said but didn't hear anything else? Sounds like they have their guy given the phone, car, and DNA evidence, along with an eye witness. o Hpefully the two girls upstairs died in their sleep. |
This thread has gone off the rails. Can we take this to the Nancy Grace forum please? Some of you are beyond creepy. |
This is why we need a true crime forum Jeff! |
