Oh, honey. Satan isn’t real.

That's his best trick and you fell for it.

Yeah, no. Lil Nas just want to sell more music and you do that by getting as much positive or negative attention as possible. He went foe the "satan" angle to tick off as many evangelicals as possible and get lots of free publicity.

I had never heard of these shoes or this video until my evangelical facebook friends started forwarding it all around. I mean, I really don't care and haven't watched it. Without them I never would have been aware, and most others wouldn't either. You know kids are going to watch this just to tick off their parents.

It's marketing genius, to get the people who hate it to do your marketing for free for you.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say I don't think OP is "confused" as to why this is a controversy. At all.

I mean, one of us definitely fell for something.

But if it helps you to go through life believing there’s a magical dude with hooves waiting to torture you for eternity if you buy these joke sneakers, have at it.

It’s simple. He used Nike’s brand and profited off it - I hope Nike sues for everything he’s got. He’s trash like Cardi B. -ban both of them and their music.
Problem solved.

Saw an article that says Nike is suing the company that put the blood in the shoes.

Lil Nas X makes trash music and has to do this in order to stay relevant.

I like it, great song, love Lil Nas X pushing the gay male agenda forward into people’s faces. What are they gonna say, it’s ok for women to writhe around pretending but not men? The dam broke and they gave women awards for it, let’s get it boys.

1+. It's frankly more tame than some risque hetero videos--red body paint does not change that...

The song is catchy and he is clearly a marketing genius. He’s very interesting to watch. I started following him on social media and he’s very funny too.

Sorry, it’s disgusting.

Disgusting because you don’t like gay people or...?

I love how people like you are pretending to be angry about a pair of shoes so you don’t have to admit that you’re mad about gay sex being in mainstream pop culture.

Ummm...hmmm...where do you see anger toward a pair of shoes or anger at gay sex? You had to reach pretty far up your as* to pull that out from this post.

The truth isn’t anger. Nike is suing the company that put the blood in the shoes bc that’s making a profit for someone other than Nike using their logo.

His music is trash and he is doing this to drum up interest and controversy so he can sell shoes, stay relevant, and make money. Do you know nothing about media or marketing or artists?

Or it’s such a desperate attempt to drum up interest. Why the hell would someone want blood in their shoes. It’s like when Angelina and Billy Bob wore those vials of blood. It’s not cute. Just gross.

The topic is about the music video which was receiving backlash before the announcement of the shoes even launched.

They sold out in under a minute so clearly people are interested. There’s nothing desperate about what he’s doing, it’s wildly successful.

It’s pretty clear you have no idea about limited editions, sneaker heads, bots, reselling, or the controversy regarding a Nike execs son.
