Lil Nas just want to sell more music and you do that by getting as much positive or negative attention as possible. He went foe the "satan" angle to tick off as many evangelicals as possible and get lots of free publicity. I had never heard of these shoes or this video until my evangelical facebook friends started forwarding it all around. I mean, I really don't care and haven't watched it. Without them I never would have been aware, and most others wouldn't either. You know kids are going to watch this just to tick off their parents.
