Do most affairs eventually come out?

I'm 50, two of our extended circle of friends (e.g. might be at a party with them, but don't socialize more intimately) have divorced in the last 15 years since our kids were born. I know of three couples that have dealt with infidelity but are still married. Both I'm close to, so in the extended group? who knows.

You really just don't know what is going on in a marriage.

So true!! My spouse was better than Jason Bourne or 007. It was 4 years before I found out and he basically was screaming to get caught and get out of the entanglement. He had started therapy on his own and then started drinking to deal with it.

But for 4 years, he was the same old loving husband and father and planned all kinds of things for me as usual. Sex was still good.

I don’t think his AP’s spouse ever found out she was banging mine for years.

Mine never had a boys night out or worked late during his 3 year affair. He banged her during his work day. It’s too damn easy and the Internet and Skype make a partner easy to find and communicate with without getting caught.

Those with guilt will get caught.

My ex-wife had an affair with her tennis instructor. We were married for 18 years and she had an affair for 6 years before I found out.

Two of my ex-wife's friends had affairs, one with her boss and one with a coworker.

An acquaintance has an arrangement with a college student where he visits her a certain number of times a month and she gets paid a "stipend". Apparently there is a network to recruit and get into this arrangement. I do not think his wife knows.

A also know one coworker who is carrying on an affair in another city where we travel frequently.

My friend's father had a long term affair--and another younger family/set of kids with the other woman--for years. He had a big job where he had to travel frequently.

it came out when his original kids were adults, it was discovered on facebook because one of the second set of kids posted some family photos on facebook and it got back to the original kids somehow.
