I hurt my hand and cut it with a knife. The design is horrible. Do they use cheap products. What is this design flaw?

What else do you folks use the jars for? Now I'm going out to buy some (pistachio, because my DD is allergic to pistachios so it's the only way I get to have something left for myself)

This happened to my husband today! I am so surprised and curious to see that this is a widespread issue!

I like them for transporting foods like soups that would leak in something else.

A few weeks ago, I walked out of my house with a jar of Talenti and a towel, and walked halfway down the block until I found a guy to hand the jar to. He opened it for me, I thanked him and walked back into my house.

My kids love playing with them at the beach.

I use mine to transport yogurt or liquids to work!

The opposite of the scenarios described in this thread is when i opened juice pouches for two different dads at a kiddie birthday party!

Having the same problem in last 2 weeks. They used to have a plastic film sealing the jar under the lid. Maybe the seal helped the lid stay openable. I love Talenti & jars, but srsly leaning toward Haagen Dazs.

I use a jar key all the time. Life changing.

I'm a salted caramel fan, and have found nothing that surpasses Haagen Dazs salted caramel gelato.

Both neighborhood Giants have stopped carrying it!

I keep trying other brands, but no luck so far. I didn't like the texture of Talenti at all. The jars are great, though!

How do I open this jar without melting it???

Get a boyfriend to do it. But getting a boyfriend might be tough if you keep storming through pints of gelato.

What happens if you're the woman who generally always opens the jars that boyfriend/husband/men can't get open?

Ooooh, would you be my girlfriend? You sound very useful.

This is ridiculous - never had a problem until recently. I have tried all of the above but nothing works.

The hot water trick worked for me recently - upon inspection, it appeared that gelato got stuck/frozen in the grooves of the lid, and the hot water along the lid loosened it. Never had the problem before a few weeks ago - now it happens frequently.

How much gelato are you all eating?
