Help, I can't open my jar of Talenti

opened my raspberry gelato after so many tries...then new York Magazine mentioned in i their "Approval Matrix" in the 2-19-3-4 issue pg. 92. Went online and, after i gave up for fear of hurting myself, I went back to the hot water but let it run downtime sides upside down and not on the top as suggested here,then repeatedly used a short study knife to pry the top off...yay...thank you whomever you were! Diane in Boston.

This ice cream brand contains an awful lot of sugar; not sure I'll like it, either, but I got a good deal on it.

(Googling to try to figure out how to open the container.)
