Not weird at all! When I first started eating Talenti years ago I saw a cute website that showed all the different ways people re-purposed the jars. Lots of creativity.

I fill mine with beans and pasta and stuff for the baby to shake.

I saved a bunch a few years ago and then filled them with a homemade sugar scrub: brown sugar, olive oil and some honey. Gave them as gifts at Christmas. Since they're plastic, there was no worry of them breaking in the shower/tub.

Did you ever get it open? This happened to me last night too and I thought it was just me!! We tried everything. After 4 adults trying we finally got it. Well worth the effort

I once waited on my front steps with a jar of tomato sauce until a pack of strong-looking men passed, and then accosted them to open my jar. They seemed surprised but they got it open for me!

Next time, just puncture the lid. Restaurant trick.

Off topic, but I got a container of Talenti and did not enjoy it. Back to Ben & Jerrys for me! But the Talenti containers are wonderful.

Very clever! Instant maracas for the little one.

OP here - I finally got it open after resorting to running the cap under hot water, which is a very sad thing to do in the case of ice cream!

In any case, the Key Lime Pie was delicious!

How do I open this jar without melting it???

Get a boyfriend to do it. But getting a boyfriend might be tough if you keep storming through pints of gelato.

What happens if you're the woman who generally always opens the jars that boyfriend/husband/men can't get open?

Having ice cream occasionally doesn't equate to "storming through pints of gelato" but nice try on the fat shaming. You know nothing about the OP, her eating or fitness habits. Slow down the judgments.

Interesting you liked the key lime pie. I found it too cloyingly sweet.

However, the Belgian milk chocolate is delicious

Used my teeth to pry the lid. Worked.
