Turn in the non-resident cheaters (Residency Fraud Reporting)

Well, the word "deadbeat" is mine, but the grandparent told me that they were raising the child because their son didn't want to and couldn't afford to. He became a father at 16 and his child is now 4. I use the word "deadbeat" to describe any parent who has a child but does not support them financially. Sorry if that offended you, but it has nothing to do with race.

Plain and simple PGer (or Punk Goon as it was eloquently stated above)- leave our DC schools to our DC children- rich, poor, black, white, special-ed, regular, young, old! Stop stealing for OUR kids. Thank goodness the do-nothing bureaucracy of DCPS is being forced to get involved here. These tired conversations with thieves are enough already!

AA Washingtonian DC tax- payer. The cheaters have been around for over fifty years. They are taking a few seats. But, honestly if they were taking seats from schools East of the River aka poor students , will we see this much enthusiasm to catch a non resident cheater? I chalk it up as another, built in, bureaucratic obstacle we have to deal with. Maybe, as an AA parent dealing with DCPS ,you get used to the bullshit. I have participated in PTA's and LSAT's to make changes in the system. Hopefully, DCPS will stop residency fraud. But to label a whole County as "goons" has racial undertones. There is know secret that Prince Georges County is predominately AA. A lot of native Washingtonians have relatives that live out there. You made not meant it that way. Trust me, if you called any African American a goon, you are making very negative insult. Your displeasure with the cheaters is noted. Choose your words carefully.

Correction. NO SECRET that Prince Georges County.....

Wow! You sound a wee bit bitter. I do not condone displacing poor or rich kids. I don't approve of over zealous Moms, that don't have anything to do except snoop around cars or children's personel records to "out "fraudulent parents. My kids school office admin. are diligent about resident requirements i.e. utility bills, auto regs., property tax info etc. It is not perfect but directing your energies towards these dastardly parents instead of questioning the non-use of textbooks or using a non- effective First in Math curriculum makes better use of your time. For argument sake, I grew up near Naylor Rd. SE , attended Howard Univ. and Med School, volunteer at Ballou Sr. High and work at United Medical Center on Southern Ave. S.E. Just saying.

Guess what! I am an awesome mom, so I can support my school, volunteer, chaperone AND fill out the cheater form, too. I did fill it out, too, after we were invited to a birthday party in PG county. The residency was upheld because the deadbeat dad has a DC address, even though the child is living in PG with grandparents. So, not a perfect system, but it's what we have.

How the hell do you you know the dad is a deadbeat? The racism on these boards is not even hidden anymore. Ugh! Disgusting.

There are over a quarter million white folks in PG county - it seems like a mistake to assume that any reference to PG is aimed at AAs.

Again- WTF does this have to do with anything? Your fingers should hurt 'cause mine do strumming the violin for you. Nobody wants to hear this BS. You race-paranoias need to stop it! Stop trying to take the focus away from cheaters with this cry-me-a-river race bait. DC kids are black, white, rich, poor, etc... Bottomline. PGers (Goons, Ghouls, or whatever the hell else you want to call them) are cheating them. Your pathetic race card of a fake concern over "goon" won't stop the focus. Shame on you phony!

Thanks for posting this. I used to live by Ross, and the number of MD plates is incredible. Yes, some of them could just have the car registered or one parent might live in DC, but I doubt that is the case for all of them. One mom in particular didn't bother to wait in the carpool line, she would come in the back alley & park in my pkg space if it was empty. More than once, I came home while she was parked there, nicely asked her to move and was sworn at.

We moved a few blocks away & are now oob. Yes, it's unfair that some md kids don't have the same opportunities, but I also find it unfair that I'm walking distance, paying taxes & my kids didn't luck out in the lottery. I feel like those playing by the rules get punished.

Well PP responded and didn't say "deadbeat" was white. It is clear. There aren't any DC moms that are worried about white kids cheating the system living in PG county, it goes without saying. The majority of white folks that live in PG live way to far to commute to cheat the DC schools!

However, she is stating that she is now playing investigator herself and interviewing the grandma that lives in PG County. Lookout 7-on-your-side, we have an investigator coming for your job. I'm the PP that called the PP racist btw and I'm white if it matters.

I am not "playing investigator," although you seem so proud of your joke that it seems a shame to disabuse you of the idea. This is not about race, period, mine, yours, or the family involved. Everyone who is throwing the race card is trying to distract from the topic of this thread, which is RESIDENCY FRAUD REPORTING.

I reported a child who does, in fact, not live in DC, it was investigated, and the child stayed because the father has DC residency. You are the one who took umbrage with the correct use of "deadbeat," and called me a racist. You are introducing race not only into this thread, but also into this story.

I agree that racism is rampant on DCUM, but let's not pollute every thread.

...and I'm white if it matters You forgot to add stupid. White and stupid is more accurate. But this is not surprising. You saw the word deadbeat and automatically assumed PP was talking about a black man. Sounds like your subconscious is actually the racist. So, it's actually sad that you're white. You're a sad white racist to made the negative assumption that a deadbeat is automatically a black man. Ironic...

If you're not "playing investigator" then why in the heck are you getting information from the grandma about the DC dad being unemployed? Whatever. I call BS. Call me what you want, but you're the ignorant one. I am far from racist. I am married to a black man and have black kids. It's nosey, racist people like you that have no business stereotyping this poor kid's situation. I am all for catching the cheating parents that are stealing from the system. Report the issue and let it be. There is no reason you should know as much information as you do on this story. Face it, you are a gossip-whore and one of those moms at school that I despise. It’s probably because of your poor sex life. Go watch Bachelor, gossip at a PTA meeting or get your kicks somewhere else. You are pathetic.

Okay, yeah, I'm the one with problems who is gossiping about people I don't know. I'm happy we're at least on the same page about residency fraud. I'll see you over in the sex problems thread later.

I feel sorry for your black husband. Don't project your awful sex life on the rest of us weirdo. To the poster who posted that they called out the dead beat- THANK YOU! You did the right thing- a hard one for this weird poster who so wants the dead beat to be a black man since she's the one who insisted on his race when you didn't post what it was. Maybe her black husband is a dead beat, so she's only posting what she knows of personally about black men. In that case we should feel sorry for her! Let's just hope she goes back to PG quick. Her fellow Punk Goons/ Ghouls/ Goblins/ Whatevers!!

There was cheating. Just DCPS are dipshits. Kid LIVED in MARYLAND, not DC. Dad was a 16 year old, so called DC resident. This is tomfoolery on so many levels. The only mud out there is on the kids stolen from by this BS!
