With the amount of attorney families that region has, they might want to get the see student lots plowed as well. Larla's mom is coming at you.

She doesn't have time anymore, she's got to RTO 5 days a week soon.

All the more reason to push the schools to clear the crud rapidly so Larla's mom can get to the office on time!

We got message from our principal (im a staff member at an Elementary School). She said it will be posted to MCPS website shortly.

Which school sent this out?

Troll MS

Why do you keep saying this? It's from a MCPS MS. The message said, all activities, after school events and athletics are canceled.
Jan. 22nd - 2 hour delay.
Jan. 23rd - 2 hour delay.

Post the entire thing. I don't believe you.

Then don't believe me. But parents who need to make arrangements can use this information.

About that. So many teen issues would be solved by switching elementaries to the earlier school time, and high schoolers to the later school time (middle school can stay the same). The sporty kids can have morning practice instead of afternoon practice. Leave the rest of teen brains to sleep in, to suit their displaced circadian rhythm.

How would this help? Swim and other kids have am and pm practices. Plus other activities and homework. So, all it would do is have kids go to bed later. As a parent I set the bedtime. Try parenting.

Our roads are very icy. We don’t have many sidewalks. Not a good combination.

Which school? You don't need to keep this a big secret if it's going to be announced school wide very shortly.

+1. I have no messages from either of my kids schools (MS + HS) and there is nothing on the MCPS home page.

My daughter just told me

All after school activities canceled and 2hr delay today, Wed, and Thurs.

This is so ridiculous

So the poster who knows the schools will delay is a teacher who received a message from their Principal? And there's a parent who got a message from their kid's coach?

Wow. That's a bit much, but OK.

My child’s activities were also cancelled today and Thursday. They just texted me. They go to Wootton.

This notice is so late. School lets out in less than 30min and kids are scrambling to reach parents to get rides home. MCPS is so over the top

I am parent who heard from coach (as did rest of the team - kids and parents who are on the email list). WJHS
